That's a ploy and it's the most hilarious part of free agency so far. There are reports that the NFL is pissed over the contract leaks and that they're going to punish the Dolphins for leaking first/the biggest deal. Reports were that they were "shitting their pants" (direct quote) over the impending investigation. Now, the Dolphins are acting like the deal isn't finalized. I find it really funny.
I'm optimistic but I am a little concerned signing, Revis. That is a lot of money for one player for a team that has so many needs. We made our defense much much better though, so It is hard to complain too much. I just hope we don't insert ourselves into cap hell again, that was the worst.
It's pretty obvious that Woody made the call on reacquiring DR just as he did when Idzik got rid of him. At least that's what I think. Still I'm happy to get Darrelle back with us.
He's the best CB I've ever seen play besides Deion Sanders. I'm worried as well in regards to the contract but I think his effect on the team will trickle down and help others.
