@ConnorHughes SOURCE: Even with Revis signed, #Jets are still interested in CB Antonio Cromartie. Source: “Talks are still alive"
I think this might be overkill. Revis/Skrine/Milliner/Williams/McDougle is deep enough; no need to spend this much on one position just because it WAS a weakness.
If they bring in Cromartie, I think that says a lot about what the organization thinks of Milliner right now. Bringing him in wouldnt be a bad move. Let Milliner and McDougle play their way into important roles on the team.
Fair enough considering McDougle's never played a snap; but it'd be nice to have enough money to sign a free safety and outside linebacker and have a little leftover.
No one has seen McDougle play so how could anyone be sold on him. If he turns out to be a player thats great but no one should count on it. Injuries happen especially with those 2 as well.
I actually think we'll be seeing Milliner at FS. EDIT: To clarify, this is if we sign Cromartie and/or another mid-high priced UFA.
That's my point. Milliner looks to be a bust. Jury is still out though. And McDougle has never played a snap. Hard to trust either of them right now
Love Cro, wanted him back before this, but this would be overkill. Still lots of better ways to spend that money. FS, Oline, Qb, OLB are still big immediate needs
I always thought Cromartie would eventually transition to that role. Only problem is that his tackling is poor.
I think it indicates we are going all in and a trade is looming involving milliner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bowles lives and dies by multiple CBs. He is about to have exactly what he needs.. If milliner becomes the CB we expected from him we would have the best one two combo in the league, second to none. Period end of story. We now have 2 more strong candidates in the slot and we are one free safety and one OLB from becoming the number one D. In a passing league that is pretty damned good. We might very well be one QB away from contention and Mac the Knife is not done yet
