if it's 13M per year, total value 39M then that's a reasonable deal, a little high but reasonable. but if it's 58M including signing bonus then no it's not.
I have met him but yes the way he has held the Jets hostage in the past, winning a ring on the Patriots, and now using the Jets for the 2nd straight offseason. Not a fan. As a player? Best CB i've ever seen.
Ha, my bad, damn auto correct and fat fingers. Honestly though I would kick back on Rex, I live a bigger couch.
I think you and I are 100% on the same page for the first time lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No team wins a SB because of one player and that includes Quarterback. But one of the reasons why NE was not able to win SB over the last five years or so, was due to their terrible play in the secondary... with the addition of Revis, Bill was able to play a more aggressive style of defensive (think cover 1), because he had arguably one of the greatest corners of all time to bail him out. With the addition of Revis, the will field an ELITE defense in September and that alone should keep us in games.
and pay Sheldon as well? Sheldon is better than Mo. We all like Mo But Mo does not have the motor of a Watt or a Suh. He takes plays off. We would make a tragic mistake if we overpaid him by a lot.
It's not my money. Revis won't be cut so I'm not worried about dead money from a signing bonus so idc about signing bonus at all. 13.3 as a yearly cap hit is fine by me given the state of the roster and no franchise qb in the picture to extend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When players such as Maxwell are being paid 11 million year, 13 million wouldn't be high for Revis at all... Patrick Petterson is being paid 14 million per year, and he isn't in Revis's class.
It comes from revenue share among the league as well as the owner. Cool? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In all fairness the Jets don't have to be entertaining any of this could jist give the offer and a deadline or don't even entertain brining him back at all
I don't have specific players to talk about. I also don't get hardons for fan favorites or moves that hurt a team long run. I've been a Jets fan for almost 50 years, I've seen this circus before.
I do like the idea of keeping Mo on his last year and franchising him next year If we aren't trading him and don't plan on Re signing him.
Honest answers needed... if the Jets get Revis (and I think they will), won't you feel like your wife went out and slept with your #1 enemy in the world, won a porn award with him, and then you just invited her back into your house? All while she maxes out your credit cards in the meantime...
Just because someone else is getting paid that doesn't mean Revis, or any player is worth that. I just means the other team made a very poor decision and vastly over payed a player compared to his actual value. It's not a hard concept to grasp.
