2M more in total value AND 3 more years of service and 1/2 the guaranteed money. You have to look beyond the total contract 'value'. Honestly I wouldn't have a problem with 16M per year if the 50m in Guaranteed money turns out to be incorrect.
The longer it goes on? It's been one day? How do you know they aren't working out contractual particulars as we speak? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Too smart or don't have the cap space? When they had the space they very clearly paid him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a pretty general description for somebody that knows you don't spend a certain number on a corner. I was hoping for more specifics
The difference is that Revis doesn't effect the game enough to take up 1/10th of the teams cap in each of the next 3 seasons. It's not just about this season.
I personally do not like Revis, but he would help one of the Jets' weakest positions and weaken an arch rival, so I like the move for that reason alone. Still, I 100% believe he is playing the Jets to earn an extra million or two from the Patriots.
You don't even know the potential contract terms. We just signed a good cb and are revis away from having possibly the best secondary in the NFL. We signed an offensive guard. And w a revis signing still have a ludacris amount of cap space? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well considering the Jets lost out on two offensive linemen because, at least in part, they were on the Revis bandwagon. It's not always about specifics, it's about having a plan and sticking to it. Question, how many Superbowls has a team ever gotten to and won because of a cornerback?
i'm basing it off of reports of 16M per year over 3 years almost all guaranteed money. Do we know that's really the deal? No. but if it is then it is the wrong deal.
What was the difference between the Pats team who lost by 30 points to the Broncos in '13 to the SB winners in '14? Revis. He is worth every dime. We can take the cap hit and be fine. What is wrong with people? Do you want to be 5-11 and watch the Pats go 13-3? People act like it is their money. It's fucking weird.
If he signs with NE for significantly less than our offer after all of this I'm finding a way to egg him.
U know or have met revis not to like him or ur just mad about him holding out and wanting as much money as possible
It's 13 mil per year over 3z. 13.3 to be specific. That is fair money spread over only 3 years for a player of his caliber. We aren't talking 110 over 6 here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The beginning of your post us predicated on the vague reports of writers who couldn't possibly know the actual details of the Jets FA situation. And for a guy that tells us that a specific number is bad for a team you are very reticent to name any specific numbers. Question, how many Super Bowls has any team won because of one single player?
