I guess we're being nice and releasing him today rather than waiting a week before doing so. I think we should have waited, to be honest, but it doesn't really matter.

    Frees up $10.5 million today.

In hindsight...What a useless trade, waste of time and probably cost us a higher pick.

Bye Percy. I wish he agreed to a restructure but looks like he didn't want. Nice to have our 4th round pick back.

I'd bet money on him going to the Pats. Perfect fit for their offense. He will explode there.

If he were to come back, he would have restructured already. I think he is gone for good but I hope I am wrong.

if he comes back before May theres no avoiding giving up a 4th, just a reminder.

I like it too but does it mean we still give up the 4th rounder instead of the 6th if he comes back(even on a reworked deal)?

The question I have is this.....if he resigns with the Jets, will it still cost them a 4th, or was that applicable to pre free agency only?

I really, really, really like Percy Harvin. I hope they can somehow bring him back, even though I know it's not probable.

I DO think that them releasing him now is at least a glimmer of hope, because they're very obviously doing him a pretty big favor.

Is this true? I'm pretty sure if we sign him after March 19 we avoid that.

It's the 3/19 date that matters, no?

If they sign him after that it's still only a 6th rounder that's owed.

They have to wait until the 2nd day of the draft to resign him if they only want to give up a 6th.
