    Why would he offer to renegotiate he knows he won't see that type of money again so he holds onto it and forces the jets to let him go

    Um, wow...it's like you're not actually understanding the business angle of pro football. He actually did the Jets a favor by not negotiating. That way we pounced on Marshall, improving our receiving corps and draft capital.

    I think we can hold him if we want until 3/19...Might as well hold him until we need his cap space

    If Revis isn't landed there's no way we need that cap space. It would probably be tough to even get over the league mandated minimum after cutting him.
