Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo 8m8 minutes ago Jets to sign former Browns CB Buster Skrine, as @AdamSchefter and @caplannfl reported. Bigger $ than many expected. Oh boy.
Skrine is a baller. Browns fans are very sad to see him go. you will be surprised how tough he is and what a good tackler he is despite his frame. He also is one of the fastest players in the NFL. Good luck to you, Buster. We would have liked to keep him, but our new FO drafted two corners in the top four rounds last year so it was never a realistic possibility he would stay.

I'd hope the Jets look into Culliver and Cro no matter what happens with Revis. Milliner should not be counted on for anything. Could become trade bait too as this regime as no ties to him.
That is super cheap compared to what a lot of corners are getting this offseason. If Schefter thought he was coming in cheaper than that he's off his nut. Heck at that price I'm really bummed we didn't keep him. Might have been about more than money.
we needed 2 CB's.. Skrine didn't have the best season last year, but he is versatile. can play outside or give us a nickel option. as long as didn't spend too much for him, and still land Revis, i'm onboard with this move.. probably means no go for Browner or Cro..
I'm not going to lie: this post made me do ALMOST a complete 180 on my feelings about this signing. Advanced metrics don't bare it out though, Steve...
He wasn't even a nickel last year. He started the entire year as the 2nd CB next to Haden, and he played pretty well aside from some penalties.
