I hope you are right but remember their guards never miss FTs and those are the guys w/ the ball in their hands at the end of games. they have 8 guys that can play, that is more than enough.

Win or Lose tonight, BYU makes the Tournament, in an effort by the NCAA to further "legitimize" the WCC and therefore, Gonzaga.
IF BYU was in the BE they would be facing three times as many RPI Top 50 teams as they did this season.
Gotta agree with you on this, I admit I can't stand BYU and their pompous fans but they don't have any good wins unless you can't their win over Gonzaga. They beat UMass who stink and they beat Stanford who are just average. Getting swept by Peperdine should be enough to keep them out of the tournament.

Neutral floor I'm taking Nova over Gonzaga. I do think Gonzaga would be the #2 in the Big East though. I'm also not a firm believer in one win puts you in the tournament. All in all BYU hasn't beaten anybody other than Gonzaga. Their trip to Maui was tough as they only beat Chaminade and lost to both SDSU and Purdue 2 good but both not great teams. I don't think BYU is in and they have to win tonight
BYU would be near the top of the BE? Since conference play is irrelevant, I assume you base this on their Loss to Utah? Maybe their loss to Purdue? Might I once again state that not only was Stanford BYU's best win, it was the best win of the entire WCC by a school not named Gonzaga. You really think that puts the WCC on par with the Big East?
I never said Gonzaga would not do well in the Big East. What I said was that there is no way that Gonzaga only has two losses if they played in the Big East. There is a large gap between a two loss season and doing well.
I think it would be a great game. ST. John's only quality wins are against mediocre BE teams. they haven't beaten anyone and have lost to some bad teams yet they are a lock now. I agree BYU isn't in yet but SJU shouldn't be either. you have major issues w/ reading comprehension, nowhere have I ever said the WCC is as good as the BE. Don't confuse the BE being overrated in the RPI w/ saying the WCC is a good conference.
Now who is having comprehension problems? Whether or not the BE is overrated or not, you drew the equivalence between the conferences based on BYU's performance. If the WCC is not as Good as the BE, then how could BYU possibly make it to the top of the BE?
