Does Mac understand that we are facing Marcel Dareus and Ndamukong Suh each twice a year? People talk about our cornerback situation, but our oline is an absolute mess right now.
flashback to last year Worried we will go into next year with Dimitri Patterson, Milliner, Wilson, McDougle oh how times have NOT changed for the Jets
Yes, we are exactly going into next season with that line. Colon for sure gonna lead that rag tag offensive line. Stay worried
Iupati was a sad loss, but FA hasn't even technically started yet and there are still other O-lineman who will be available, relax a bit.
Why don't we wait for free agency to actually start and/or the draft to happen before we start freaking out? It sucks we couldn't sign Iupati or Orlando, but there are other quality guards out there.
maccagnan was the head OL scout in houston as was praised for his work finding mid round lineman. worst comes to worst he has to find it in the draft. they will sign some OL though, FA hasnt even started like everyone is saying. iupati may not have been the best decision anyway. i feel uneasy giving guards lots of money even though money isnt much of an issue and hes a good player.
First of all we were right to worry about that lineup being final. Second of all it was even worse as Patterson went off the reservation and the law firm of Millner & McDougle got injured. So technically we went into next year with Wilson all by his damn self. Given that we, the Jets fan lynch mob was absolutely right last year maybe, just maybe we have a point.
The injuries to Milliner and McDougle were beyond anyone's control. Milliner proved himself at the end of his first year that he can be a solid CB. Shit happens. We don't even know what we have in McDougle so to make it look like having him is a bad thing is silly. Wilson is okay as a slot CB. Patterson was a joke. If we can get a healthy season from those three CBs who are still here and a vet CB in addition, we'll be fine.
Right and the Hindenburg disaster could not have been predicted, just a bit of bad luck. It is this sort of thinking that got our former general manager run out of town on a rail. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Well considering Sanchez resigned in Philly about 7 seconds after your last thread Im gonna go out on a limb and say that we sign 3 new OLineman by midnight.
The fact that the FO has been aggressively pursuing the top 2 FA guards tells you they are very aware of the need at Guard. It would be very surprising for them to now forget about the need and ignore it moving forward...
Who the hell could have predicted that two of our top three CBs would be injured and that the third, who never had a history of attitude problems, would just no call/no show for a game? If you claim you suspected that would have happened, we'll just save my next post saying you are full of it.
