Maybe Revis also wants to come back to the team that originally drafted him. I think Revis mentioned that somewhere recently, but I could be wrong. If it's a 3 year/14 mil per deal for Revis, I would do it. He'll be good those years with the way he plays.
MLK Jr just turned over in his grave bro lol, using that quote for something that more than likely won't happen. We have a long road to go, but we can get there with a great plan and executing that plan. Let's get back in the playoffs before people start talking SB.
As a fan, it'd be amazing to see Revis back in Green & White to finish out his HoF career. But Revis is probably going to be too expensive for a rebuilding team, and I would rather not see us sign him to some kind of contract like the Dolphins are giving to Suh.
It's going to be really, really interesting to see where he winds up, and how much he gets. Maybe a team like Denver would be willing to pay him a ton as the "missing piece" they feel they need to win a Super Bowl? I think the Suh contract could be used as a pretext for paying Revis in that realm, but I'm not sure if it'll actually happen.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but the only teams spending money so far are on released players or their own free agents. Free agency has not started yet. Everything you are reading about isn't official and could very easily fall apart. I love these posts because if he signs somewhere else they will instantly turn into "well he's declining anyways and wasnt that good last year, glad we have the money to spend on someone else!"
so if the pats pick up revis, but only because they let browner walk do we pick up browner? I'd say HELL YES
He had the league leading most amount of penalties for a CB and didn't even play 16 games But I'd pair him up with Cro in a fucking second, the god damn Twin Towers, and take Gerod Holliman or another FREE SAFETY in the 2nd round
I think that's decieving stat... Anytime you play with a guy like revis your challenged so much more, ofcpurse going to have more penalties and yards let up.. They have to defend 8/10 passes a game, where someone like revis is challenged 1/2 times
It's either we get players who either 50/50 stop the ball/get a flag or have repeat of players who don't stop anything lol
yeah we def wouldn't have to pay that much for browner, might be a win/win as long as browner doesnt restructure so new england can get revis
I can't imagine this Revis situation dragging out. Every news article says it's between us and the Patriots with a dark horse candidate peppered in here and there. I think when 4 hits we make an offer and he takes it or not. Hopefully within 24 hours after 4 o'clock today.
Let's hope not..if we go into this season with the same defensive backfield we had last year and no Rex Ryan we may not even win 1 game much less 4.
If we don't sign Revis what else can we do to fix our cornerback problems? The other top 3 guys are already off the market. I think Revis is a must at this point.
