If you really want him you'll have to overpay him a little plus offer him the starting job. I'd do it.

Bowles isn't going to promise anyone they're starting, especially at QB.

You want to offer Brian Hoyer the starting job and you are a Jet fan (i.e. you want the team to win in 2015) ???

Honestly I'd rather have Fitzpatrick, especially with Chan Gailey on board. Plus I don't want to give any veteran Qb a 3-year deal.

Then you're probably not getting Hoyer.

If we sign a QB in free agency what does that mean for a potential Eagles deal?

Philly could use Foles to get down from 20 to lets say 10 where the Rams are , and then trade with us. But what happens if they are hell bent on using Foles as part of a trade with us instead? Do we go into training camp with 3 QB's? Does Geno become trade/release bait?

I know Id much rather see a competition between Foles and Hoyer then anything else. If you're gonna start over might as well start over properly.

Yes and I think you have s much better chance to win with him than a bottom feeder like GS.

I'd much rather see a competition between Hoyer and Mallett. In Houston.

I dont understand why some people are criticizing every QB that comes up...newsflash Geno is a steaming pile of trash. We could bring in Testaverde and I'd be happier with him than GS

Have you seen the list of FA QBs? Signing any of them has no bearing on the draft in any way whatsoever.

Yeah Im not crazy on Hoyer either but atleast at times he's looked like a pro. Doesnt seem to get rattled when pressured and throws a nice ball. Who knows what would've been his outcome in Cleveland if Manziel talk wasnt in his ear 24/7.

Usually by 29 a QB is a finished product but he's really only had 1 full season under his belt as a starter. I mean if its him or Fitz to battle with Geno we can all pick out plenty of negatives for each.

Well this isnt Drew Stanton that were signing where 1 day we're telling him he's the backup then a Tebow trade later he's out the door.

I doubt Hoyer would come here for a 1 year deal the way Stanton did. So to me it doesnt make him as expendable. If he comes in on a 3 year deal with some guaranteed money its more than likely he would be on the roster come Week 1.

Hoyer is the worst FA quarterback available. Geno would beat him out.
