Your point was that we are in an elite group of teams with excess money, and I was pointing out that there haven't been many alleged surreal signings by the teams with excess cap space. Let's be realistic here. The Jets have money. They also have a new regime, and are coming off a 4-12 season. So let's not all pretend and become holier than thou, the Jets have been pretty lousy as well. Our FO got shit canned because of fans putting up billboards. Understood that Macc may be facing an uphill battle as far as having to "recruit" guys. But that's part of his job. That's what he's getting paid for. It's too early to pass judgment obviously. All I'm saying is the last 48 hours have not exactly been inspiring.
Have some faith in the fact that he HAS to spend a ton of money this offseason by league rule. That might be the only factual thing we have right now, he is obligated to spend that money. So we have that!
Haha this thread is funny. Earlier today before the NFL put a gag order on teams, agents were leaking "deal is done" on so many players probably to get other teams to raise their offers, bet. Nobody is signed anywhere yet and won't be till tomorrow no matter what they say. Hell the deal was almost done for this guy in Oakland and then the gag order got put in place and most of the leaks stopped For all we know the Raiders and Jets bidding war lost steam and Iupati's agent told him to start telling his loudmouth buddies that he was going to sign with Arizona just to get them to start raising stakes again People need to chill until we start seeing those cornball Twitter pics of players putting pen to paper
