Let's face it the Jets have been a mess for a minute. They aren't getting most of these guys without overpaying until it's in fashion to be a Jet.
Yeah i know free agency didn't start yet... but i do know a nice grip of them are already with their new teams.. at least the ones we should have made a run for. I said i'm giving the guy a chance.. i'm not calling for his head.. But don't act like your not also used to seeing the jets have interest in this guy and that guy, get our hopes up and never get the player.. it's already started.
Sometimes, I don't even know if its a matter of paying more than the other guy though. we can "top" somebody else's offer by a couple mil and still not come away with the prize for various reasons. the difference between 9 mil a year or 11 or getting 20 or 25 million guaranteed might mean less next to other factors. erroneously overpaying isn't as effective as one might think too.

To be honest I don't know how good this guy is, I just read reports about him. I hope They have some other plan for o- lineman. I feel it's a desperate Need more than the need to sign revis. We don't have starting guards on the roster, and giacomni was a terrible signng, only reason why this goes so unnoticed is because idzik did so many awful thins thst this move looks ok. Lol I hope there serviceable guys out there to still be had.
So far, Macc sure has that Idzik touch. He's either: A) Lowballing B) Nobody wants to come to the Jets C) Macc sucks as a salesman / negotiator D) All of above What is the point of having all this cap room if you can't get any good players to sign? Boling would be a nice start....
I'm not panicked at all yet... I think allot of guys thus far have been over paid.. Don't stres, there is a plan here.
AND.... Mac has to spend the cash this year. He cannot, by rule, sit on the money and I have a feeling he's not throwing 50mil at Revis.
Did you see the deal Jacksonville gave the backup RT from Dallas? Harris may be overpaid, but it's not a bad deal, all things considered. It's a solid move in my opinion.
