It's close enough, especially for a guy that played two sports.

FA isn't a cure all, it is part of building a team. I would hate it if we spent a ton but didn't spend wisely. the offseason/FA champ very rarely does anything when the real games begin.

Revis has been brutal as a business man but to question his drive/motivation b/c he has won a ring is lame. He has always been a consummate professional on the field (and off the field too, though his penchant for extracting every last dollar is annoying but understandable). If he came back I would expect him to give it his all every game that he plays for the Jets - nothing in his history should suggest otherwise.

Not until we cut Harvin, we don't.

I never thought the Jets would sign 3-4 big name, big contract FAs like quite a few on this board. I always thought that they might sign 1-2 big names, and then several 2nd tier FAs. I still expect that. As I said in an earlier post, they could sign 4-5 second tier FAs, and those when coupled with the addition of Marshall, would go a long way towards addressing some of those holes.

Do you mean to tell me that if the Jets signed Boling at OG; Acho, Reed or Sheard at OLB; Kendrick Lewis, Louis Delmas. or Rahim Moore at FS; Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB; and maybe Jordan Cameron at TE you wouldn't be happy and think it a great FA period, and holes addressed? I'm not saying they'll sign all those guys, but they could certainly try.

I don't want Revis, he's going to cost us stupid $ and I can do without that.
Like another poster said, Culliver & Cro would be great with me.

Iupati would be a great addition, especially with Suh in Miami & that defensive line in Buffalo, just sayin...

Gotta disagree re Iupati. If he was even a good pass blocker, then I would agree, but he isn't. Having a great run blocker who sucks at pass protection isn't going to help us very much imo. Iupati's gonna cost stupid $s for an OG who can't pass protect.

The O-line is in desperate need of an upgrade and Iupati is the best on the market. I get what you're saying but it is an upgrade over Colon and a declining Brick, we need help.

    Sucks I wanted Iupati.

Hard to believe we couldn't have given him 8-9 mil per.

So far we haven't signed a soul or at least haven't leaked anything although I will stick with my first point and this isn't looking good at all. At this point we may just keep Harvin so we can spend the money somewhere.

You would think someone replacing a GM who was known for not making ANY MOVES except a dumbass Percy Harvin trade would do a little more to sign free agents

I appreciate the Marshall trade but that's not a enough and it shouldn't be accepted. Where the fuck is Woody, get in the god damn office.

The Jets have money, so there must be other reasons why they're not rumored to be in the mix for many of these players. Any thoughts?

Right but he just won a Superbowl, which means, we don't know if things will change with him now that he has finally accomplished his ultimate goal.

Things in the past wouldn't suggest it because he hasn't won it yet, now he has.

I'm not saying he absolutely will go that route but I question it because he is such a calculated individual.

That's the least of the reasons why I don't want him here though. Regardless of what he ends up doing.

They went after Kareem, Franklin, Maxwell, Hoyer. They couldn't reel them in.

You can't make these players come here, its their final say on the matter.

Nice post although I don't see why so many people think we should resign Powell. He hasn't shown me that much.
