@YZTNWO: #Jets are out here losing Free agents to the Raiders If that's the world I live in today, I want out IncarceratedBob retweeted me! LOL
Do me a favor, tweet to IncarceratedBob that he is a fake ass bitch who likes to tweet lies and bullshit.
Did I say that our free agency was a failure? No. I said the potential avenues available to address positions of need have diminished. We could make a late push and sign Iupati, then sign Revis tomorrow, and then sign Moore or Searcy to a reasonable contract. That could happen and if it did I would be happy. But again, the pool of quality CBs, Gs, and Safeties is diminishing very quickly. So I'm reserving final judgement, but right now things could be looking better.
This is the same metro asshole who said that the Jets will be trading the #6th pick to the Eagles, per his sources
I dont think he is doing what Idzick did. I think he is doing what Idzick WANTED to do. Idzick had a plan which could possibly work, build through the draft and get pieces to help the team but not give an arm and a leg for someone. The problem is that Idzick was a moron and expected people to get underpaid to come here and wouldnt negotiate, only give an offer. I think Mac knows what he is doing it is just not a sexy method until it works.
Thanks! I wouldn't really mind A. Cromartie instead of C. Culliver (although he is younger and probably comes cheaper, he also has a little (offield-)baggage). But I really want Sterling Moore here; he is one of biggest sleepers of this FA-class (btw: He can play FS too)... I would be really happy, if the Raiders (and not us) are overpaying for Mike Iupati. They've already done so for Austin Howard and it backfired pretty badly. At OG I'm still holding my breath for Stefen Wisniewski. And I think it's pretty funny, that some people are already whining because of free agency: The fact alone, that we are NOT in a crazy spending FA-tour (and therefore getting none of the big names so far) makes my confidence in our GM and FO even grow bigger (and certainly not worse)...
Sure it does. You severely overpay for EVERYONE now (based on pre-exponential rise in cap post-CBA) because if you don't you end up paying anyway. Dollar amounts mean absolutely nothing at this point - only % of cap matters.
Wisniewski would be an underrated pickup and I'd be very happy with that. Only gave up 2 sacks last year and was apart of the Raiders league low for tackles for loss. Would be nice.
He and Iupati would be fine too. Wisniewski and Iupati in the rotation would sure up our OL and it would be easy cap wise if we don't get Revis. There are no CB left that would take up much cash.
the Raiders mistake was moving Howard to LG. He's a RT all the way.......signing Iupati will allow them to move him back. they also just signed an excellent C. their line is going to be stacked. not a bad way to spend FA money...
