If our head coach is any good he will keep the locker room under control. Our problem at WR was a huge fire that has been put out. Passing up this opportunity because someone in the locker room might cry would have been a bad idea.
you're right, I forgot vick started that season. the sentiment remains. why would you take most of his starts out of the equation to evaluate him? why would anyone do that?
Because it fits their narrative. Don't even bother anymore, no one is taking this guy seriously and you shouldn't either.
That's fair. However I'd like someone to call BS for what it is in the locker room. When Geno throws 3 INTs in 3 minutes someone should call him out in this.
Chip Kelly is and he's his coach. Clearly Kelly would rather have some rookie start over Foles so that should tell you something. And Chip Kelly definitely knows more about football than any of us.
Chip Kelly runs an offense that requires a certain skillset. Said rookie just played in that offense. Foles didn't. Another bad job by you.
But he threw 27 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions in one season in that offense! You can't possibly say he doesn't have that skillset. You can't use it against me, then completely ignore it five seconds later.
You tried to make a bad point about Kelly wanting a rookie over Foles. That rookie just came out of the offensive system Kelly coaches. That is most likely why Kelly wants to start a rookie over Foles. You're trying to make it sound like Foles is so bad, a rookie would start over him and that's just lazy posting.
No, I'm saying if Foles was good enough, Kelly wouldn't waste trading an insane amount of first round picks and second round picks a.k.a. the entire future of the franchise on trading for a rookie.
First of all you have no idea that Chip Kelly is throwing out his 2013 season when evaluating him. That's a long shot at best. Secondly, you don't know that Kelly wants to trade for the duck. Lastly, even if he did, that wouldn't mean that he thought Foles sucked. You're not using good logic and you're not convincing at all.
Trading for Mariotta doesn't mean he would start over Foles out the gate. It's nothing but fan speculation and yet people argue it like it's happening and a reasonable argument to make.
This is a pretty cool article about a bunch of things that happened that charges were dropped for. Where's the part where he beat his wife?
The chargers let Drew Brees go. All he's done is win a superbowl and be one of the best qb's the last few years. Just because Kelly doesn't want Foles, does not mean he can't succeed. For all we know Kelly could draft mariota and get fired in 3 years because it's such a flop
