Love the move. The Jets can still draft a WR if one falls to them.

Now cut Harvin and sign Spiller.

Wow. First trade and you bring in Mr. Hyde. Or is it Dr. Jekyll?

If he is on the team we give up our 4th and 5th round picks for receivers, granted they are probably better that anyone we would draft there but I'm not sure that will happen.

How about taking Mariota at #6 and then trading up from #37 to get Dorial Green-Beckham?

Mac's tenure is already HoF worthy simply by telling Bradway to report to his offense and bring his parking pass with him.

He can do no wrong in my eyes.

We now have two HUGE receivers who can catch and run routes. Match up nightmare in the red zone.

He may turn out great. But I have this weird image in my head. I cannot remember seeing Marshall run with the ball after a catch. Is he one of these touch-me-I'm-down guys? I can't recall.

    I think this trade means:

    1) Harvin is a goner
    2) The Jets will not sign a FA WR
    3) The Jets plan on drafting a WR pretty high

Not a bad trade especially for a 5th round pick

Imagine if DGB fell to the third round and took a couple of years to develop, learn the system, and refine his route running. Great move by Mac for a 5th round pick.

I'm on the fence about it. I agree we need to be faster, BUT...if we're talking the difference between Harvin (always injured, large cap #) vs. Marshall, I think that's a good trade up. I also think the Jets have some speed at the WR, though not EVERY-DOWN speed, guys like TJ Graham and Chris Owusu. Even Salas has some speed. So, I'm actually perfectly fine with the corps as it is now. It's not HOF worthy, but we have some pieces now.

So, let's assume that we also pick up a good OG and a good CB. What does that make our draft look like?

It would be good if they can get a QB that can utilize them, otherwise what's the point? That won't happen in FA and I still don't think either of the top two will still be there at 6 so who will it be?

I dont think we need two strong personalities in the locker room like Harvin and Marshall, but wow Marshall is someone I really like.

Harvin should be cut I think
