If the Jets do end up going with Geno this year, this is the perfect player for him.

I don't know if he is going to improve at all, or if this just what he is. I do know that Geno was way better in between the 20's than he was in the redzone. Marshall is a damn good player to show us if Geno can improve his redzone game.

Do you really want to tie up 20M of your cap on two receivers who bring as much baggage as talent?

The best part about this is his contract now has no gaurenteed monies. Just like Harvin, if he becomes a problem we let him go with no dead money

All his bonus monies will be payed by Chicago

Reports flooding in Marshall to us for a 5th Round Pick.

I like it, now let the comparisons to Santonio begin

I hope this means that we aren't letting Harvin walk. The idea of having Marshall, Harvin, and Decker is giving me an erection.

Brandon Marshall is much better than Percy Harvin or Santonio Holmes, in my personal opinion. For a 5th round pick: Love the move.

Love the move for a 5th round pick and it gives us so much more flexibility in the draft. Hopefully he passes the physical.

Just for the record, with the exception of his disappointment on the Bears absolute lack of preparation and performance Marshall brought no baggage whatsoever last year. Instant massive upgrade to stretch the field and red zone threat.

Yes I do, I want playmakers. This team has lacked playmakers for so long it's something that I would love. If having 20 million tied up in Harvin and Marshall gets the Jets one step closer to winning a Super Bowl then I want it. I'm also not sure Marshall brings as much baggage as some might speculate. He's been pretty good in Chicago and he had some type of mental issue that he's worked really hard to fix. Harvin, yeah maybe between injuries and the way he wanted out of Seattle but he still can be an explosive player and having him on the team makes us better.

In Trestman's offense, Marshall would actually move into the the slot in 3 WR sets, where he poses a huge mismatch whether against linebackers or smaller slot corners. Marshall has the versatility to line up anywhere.

I would love to keep him at a reduced salary, but unfortunately, I think the writing is on the wall for Percy. I am guessing this means we probably don't go after Cobb either.

If Cooper or White is the BPA at #6, I would have no problem taking either guy. Load up on talent and give the rookie a year to play situationally. If the rookie is ready to start day 1, it's a good problem to have. If I'm not mistaken, Chan's base spread offense is 3 WR / 1 TE / 1 RB, so there are enough snaps to go around at the WR position.

This move probably increases the likelihood we target Mariota or Fowler (or another edge rusher) if we stay at #6.

Am I the only one whos eh about this? I dunno ive mixed feelings. I think we need to be faster at the wr position. I think we still ahould draft a wide out early. I also thinks this means our chances of taking mariota may be higher. Ive no doubt he should still be available by the 6th pick.
