Chicago Tribune: Brandon Marshall on the trade block

trades cant be finalized until Tuesday I think but ya it still would have came out that we agreed to something

 

So the McCoy trade isn't finalized? Not saying it is, seriously just asking. I know FA starts on Tuesday but wasn't sure about trades.

 

It's starting to get a bunch of noise on Twitter [only reason I use twitter to begin with]. We shall see how credible this source is come Tuesday.

Not quite sure who that guy is, but scout.com usually doesn't employ hacks. It's not some fan-run site.

 

why get 31 year old wr when we are in prime position to draft a stud or sign maclin or cobb

 

Apparently the Bears want a 3rd but there's no way they'll get that. Hopefully the jets can pull a trigger before Marshall hits the shark tank

Scout.com is a fan run site that hosts boards for every team. They bought out JI for example. I wouldn't consider it credible at all. Credible sources report bears want a 3rd.

Because Cobb will probably sign with the Raiders and Maclin will have a slew of suitors so why not take the guaranteed option.

 

I don't want him unless it's a 5th at worst. He's good, but old for our team and the position we're in. Unless there is belief with the right moves we can be in some opportunity of contention next season.

 

not all are fan sites, some of the scout sites are very credible. Not sure if this is one of them.

I'd be shocked if Chi could get a 3rd for him.

 

If we give up a 3rd for Marshall, I wouldn't be too happy.

 

I'd be shocked too but that's what they want. I'd take a credibly sourced report over scout.com although I think the Bears can get a 4th that can escalate to a 3rd based on performance. Not out of the question.

Yeah, I love the idea of trading for Marshall but a 3rd is too high. Maybe Percy's 4th but that's it, preferably 5th

In an ideal world Jets would sign all young, ascending players to reasonable contracts. In the real world we have to scrap for every player we get and compete with 31 other teams for top talent. So if someone like Marshall is available via trade you have to strongly consider it and can't sit back and HOPE you get Maclin or Cobb

 

he's a top talent no doubt but hopefully he keeps the off field stuff away and helps this team win.
