I can't believe there is anyone on this board or anyone on the planet that would believe that someone in the Jets organization would say that they would give Revis whatever he wants.

Woody really is stupid enough to say it though.

How can you say he isn't worth it? Outside of QB, CB is the most important position on the field.

Getting Revis would be bigger than the Bills getting McCoy. It makes us way better, and makes the Patsies worse.

With the talk of the Fish getting Suh, we have to get Revis.

Idzik was in Woody's ear last year telling him not to sign him. Let's right that wrong. Pay the man and keep us competitive in the AFC East.

The last thing I remember about Revis was him getting beat for a TD in the SB.

And people blaming the ref, as if Baldwin wasn't already in front of him.

I'd be shocked if Revis was ever a Jet again.

We are going to give him $14-16 mil a year and become a laughing stock. It's Tannenbaum part 2. Maccagnenbaum.

I hope this is a ploy to drive up Revis's price-tag. I'm not paying 14M / yr for Revis.

No it isn't. The rules get receivers open; disrupting the pass game starts with getting pressure on the QB and reducing the amount of time he has to find the open receiver. Pass rush is far more important than CB. Even if you shut down one receiver with enough time someone else will always be open.

Seattle and New England passed all over each other with the best corners in the league and no name receivers. Why? No pressure on the QB. Compare that to how the Giants shut down the Pats with elite WR's and average corners because they disrupted the pass game before it could start.

Give me Revis, Two FA Offensive linemen, either Mariota or trade for Foles, C.J Spiller, Bring back Harvin, draft a WR with #20 as well, another CB either Kareem Jackson or one of the lesser tier guys, and that my friends is a team ready to be a winning team again and is financially doable with what their situation is right now.

junc said it right a number of pages ago. revis is probably one of the better players i have ever seen. he is the complete corner and does every part of his job better than 99% of those who play his position or have played it.

i was pissed to see him go because he is that great, however i also dont hold it against him to make what he can. the nfl doesnt give a fuck about these guys so why should they cut them any fucking deals? fuck that mess.

while i hope they bring him back and at a decent deal, 10-11 million would be great. i dont want to set myself up for a disappointment, either that they dont sign him or they sign him to a retarded deal.

    This
The best CB shuts down one receiver. A fierce pass rush shuts down all of them.

Revis is good, but couldn't hold Dion Sanders jock strap, Revis is 1 dimensional can lock a receiver down most of the time, he's not a playmaker
