These things never play out like they seem to in March. It's more likely the Rams move up ahead of us to take Mariota then him falling to us at 6

Yeah or I can see the Redskins trading with the Eagles...Although I wonder if the Eagles risk making the trade with their division rival. Personally, Rams can move up...though that would suck

I rather take a receiver than trade down.

That's why I am hoping the Jets move to get Glennon BEFORE the draft and if Mariota falls to us we can make some moves. Whether that's with the Eagles, or the Rams or both (in the last scenario we would move to no. 10, the Eagles to no. 6 and the Rams to no. 20 + Foles), and if Mariota doesn't fall to us then we have already hedged our bet and can draft Cooper or one of the pass rushers with no issues regarding QB.

mariota is not a sure thing…but this franchise has needed a GOOD qb forever…why do people think its a luxury to pass on a good QB prospect…look what the rams have done since they got all those picks from the redskins for rg3…they still have yet to make the playoff and are still unsettled at there on QB position

I love Mariota, but remember the Rams won that trade with the Redskins. RGIII has struggled...

Also, the return is too hot!

Unless they offer better than the RGIII deal you take Mariota. I'm tired of the Jets having a bottom five QB and Mariota is the real deal. It shows what a joke the evaluation process is that any team is considering Winston over Mariota.

on paper you are right, for some reason I just dont believe in nick foles... i cant explain it... just a gut feeling.

DESCLAIMER: I do not necessarily believe in geno but i do think he has all the talent in the world and is due for a good season with this new regime as i beleive he will put in the required work.

ultimately I would like to draft mariota.

Now THAT'S more like it! Foles is overrated...we should be able to get a couple future 1st round picks if the Eagles want Mariota bad enough (the swap of this year's 1st round picks doesn't count of course since we're just moving down in the round not gaining a pick).

The deal you just outlined would be great, and looks just about right given the fact that Mariota is a QB and Kelly desperately wants him.....I hope this happens!!! :)

Chip Kelly isn't going to allow Mariota to fall to six... that's just too much of a risk IMO, especially since Tennessee has a need at Quarterback. I fully expect The Eagles to trade up to pick two or one, and I honestly don't believe this report. It comes off across as a smoke screen, why would anyone within the Jets brass leak information such as this?

    For any price.

Here's the only way I do that deal.

The Eagles trade everything they can to the Colts for Luck or to the Packers for Rodgers and then they include either of such QBs in the deal for Mariota.

Anything less than that and I punch the button so hard on my iPhone it actually makes an audible sound in Chip Kelly's ear.

Always smarter to trade picks in the 5-9 range than to take a player. I'd be 1000% on board with a trade with the Eagles for picks and Foles.

Not true. But for RG3s injury, that deal cements the Skins competitiveness for a decade.

RG3 was outstanding his rookie year before he got hurt and his book is not closed.

The Rams have still sucked since that trade.

And while RG3 is a physical talent he may not be the brightest bulb in the sack of hammers.

Mariota is Einstein compared to him.
