McCourty. I think he will upgrade our entire pass defense.

Maxwell. Have a feeling he's destined for Philly though.

yeah Iupati is not very good at pass pro.

Breno only let up 3 sacks, which by itself isn't terrible. But then add in another 7 QB hits allowed, and 31 QB pressures.
that was the biggest pass pro problem, along with Cumberland's sad attempts.

That's why i mention Bulaga and Virgil Green as signings.
that will keep a QB upright more than Iupati, as well as contributing to our run game.

O-line definitely needs upgrading but I'd like to see us pick up someone who won't command as much as Iupati.
Personally I'd like to see us sign our offensive help in FA and go after a stud pass rusher at #6.

    Gimme McCourty.

Then take Carpenter off Seattle's hands. Then take Cobb off Green Bay's hands

    McCourty!

Steal him away from the cheaters and move Pryor to SS would help the secondary big time

and how do we play him in our 3-4? i do want suh too, but it just doesn't make sense from a scheme standpoint. he'd be playing the 0-tech, but he's a 3-tech in a 4-3

Looking at the QB list, it was disturbing. I want a QB to compete (and easily defeat) Geno, but nothing is out there. Maybe sign Hoyer and draft Mariota? Something like that. Every position is important and the Jets need to upgrade most, but QB is #1 to me. Obviously no one is worth anything in free agency at QB this year, so I guess I will say Maxwell and Cromartie. Need to upgrade CB's bad. Revis returning would annoy me, but I could accept it.

    we're not going after Suh.
if by some crazy turn of events we absolutely cannot come to terms with Wilk, he'd be dealt and Suh would assume his 5-tech duties while being moved about the line on subpackages.

I don't know if this is possible-- we are swimming in money tho...but if we signed Suh, McCourty, and Revis, that kind of defense would be scary to say the least. Could we then also add Spiller to the backfield? In the draft, I'd be looking for a qb (Should we be in the position to get Mariota at 6, or another good prospect in the second round--both guys could play a similar role Sanchez did in 09), O-lineman, and linebacker and cornerback. Am I off base here or doesn't this give us a potentially damn good team? Again, have no idea if these signings are feasible, or sustainable considering the re-ups we have to do, so feel free to put me in my place on this one.

Ellis and Douzable are free agents this year.

Wilkerson and Snacks are free agents next year.

Richardson and Coples may be up the year after that.

Who else are we building our DL around?

Heard we might look at DL Kendall Langford who spent time with Bowles and Rodgers in Miami.

    Per the Twitter

The point I am making is that just like Suh they are all essentially free agents.

Passing up Suh because we may keep one or two of them is foolish.

If Wilkerson won't take less than $15 mil I would rather give that money to Suh.
