yeah, thinking about it some, it is pretty fair.

Alonzo was not going to fit in a 3-4, and is coming off an ACL.
The Bills got something of value in return, and a very good playmaker who can be an inexperienced QB's best friend on the field.

The Eagles dropped salary, while getting younger and better on D.
With that extra cap space, i expect they'll move to re-sign Maclin as well.

    both teams benefitted..

Why are you nervous? The Bills got robbed lol. They will get 2, or 3 years of a great running game, while the Eagles will get likely 10+ years of a great LB. The Eagles pulled a great trade here.

-Management called him telling him "thank you for your service", he admits he won't be a Bill next year
-CJ is someone that would have liked to play for 1 team for his career
-Seems very articulate talking about the running game, and importance of RB
-Panel joking about CJ going to Eagles now "Chip has my agent's phone number and I'm sure if he wants to call me he will"
-Never played Chip's offense before, but I am able to play any running game style if needed
-"Eagles getting a hard worker in Kiko, a student of the game, plays the whole field, a great player/great person...Never got into the hype"

Going to break now, CJ to talk more about his pitch and what he is looking for later on.

Great trade. The Bills would've had 1 or 2 starting linebackers riding the bench this year. Preston Brown was our rookie Kiko last year, Nigel Bradham was tremendous, Mario Williams, Manny Lawson, and we will probably let Brandon Spikes go. We trade from a position of strength to upgrade the biggest hole on the team (other than QB).

Really risky trade for Philly. You have a guy that could never stay healthy in college, has only played 1 year in the league and is coming off another torn ACL. Even if he works out, you just gave up the face of your franchise for a player who could never be the face of a franchise. I had a friend in Philly text me that "the city just went silent." They are really upset about this. Kiko is a pretty good player, but man.

Risk for both teams of course. We are in win now mode the next 2-3 years. If we want another LB I can see us going after David Harris (although we'd be back to having a good starter ride the bench).

CJ Spiller back on NFL Network

-Initial reaction of trade a shock, Willie Mcginest was trolling him in back room saying Kiko was traded for Mccoy
-Spiller has some teams he likes, he does not know where he will play...Teams have reached out to him. So next they comments:
-The guy next to Spiller from NFL Network said "There is a guy named Chan Gailey, where you had great success with" Spiller started laughing and says "Yup, I had my best year there" The guy from NFL Network says "THERE YOU GO!" (He def has interest with the Jets
    - Winning is the most important thing, play-callers is very important for him, including a the O-line and QB
    - He is very much looking forward to go back to Buffalo, people are joking with him that he has that twinkle in his eyes lol
    - Green is the color of Eagles and NY Jets, possible landing spots for CJ Spiller. He has a smile the whole time.

-CJ looks like he wants to play for the Jets pretty much

    Lmao

Of course. You'll learn real quick what having Rex Ryan as your coach can do to you at times

The useful age of a running back isn't too much older. He might have a few years left but I doubt he goes much longer than that. Unless the Bills suddenly develop a good passing game besides having one single good receiver, this move doesn't help them enough in the near term and hurts them in the long run.

    Wow quite a trade!

On the surface this definitely looks like a great move for Buffalo as McCoy has had some great years and been a great player while Alonso had one excellent season and is now coming off a torn ACL, which seems like a risk. But McCoy does have a bit of mileage already. He'll be only 27 when the season starts, but it's an older 27 because he entered the league so young.

I actually don't hate this trade for either team. Buffalo gets an immediate potential high impact player as does Philly. If Alonso is the player he was in 2013 or better, it'll work out for them longer term. Buffalo also has to contend with contract issues for McCoy already.

Crazy trade that could pay dividends for Buffalo right now, but I could see this working out better for the Eagles in time.

lol McCoy is old/declining? Guy is only 26 years old and in the prime of his career. Glad Kiko is out of the AFCE tho.

How is Chip Kelly supposed to trade into the top five, if he doesn't have McCoy?

Regardless this an excellent trade for the Eagles... they just got a rangy, technically sound linebacker with great instincts. He's probably their most versatile line backer now and they sure could have used him last season when Ryans went down.

WIN mode as in making the playoffs? The Bills are not winning a Super bowl anytime soon , with their terrible Quarterback situation.

I wouldn't call him over the hill, obviously, but for what it's worth he wasn't as good last year. He'll be 27 when the season starts but he was a young rookie at only 21 and has quite a bit of mileage on his tires already so age is misleading.

I certainly wouldn't call this a bad trade for Buffalo, but I predict that in time it'll prove to be better for Philly

Good trade for the Bills. Jets fans saying it is bad, but it is not. McCoy will still be a top RB for at least another 3 or 4 years. Perfect for a Rex Ground and Pound approach. The Defense will still be great too. If David Harris really goes there I will be mad. They really are a QB away from serious Super Bowl contenders. Hate to bring up Sanchez, but if they add him, they are a playoff team.

The Eagles also get much younger at LB and one of the best young ones in the game. They also save a lot on the cap by getting McCoy off their hands and will save 7M more when they cut Demeco Ryans. The more I think about this, the more I like this trade for Philly. They're building for the future and also the present with this one. This draft is LOADED at RB for them.

Buffalo better hope McCoy can still play at a high level because he fell off last year and he's got a lot of mileage for a 27-year old back and, as I mentioned before, his age is misleading because he was a 21 year old rookie. This is a win-now trade for the Bills and a win-now-and-later trade for Philly. Buffalo really just needs a more competent QB, but I don't see where it's coming from.

Only question I have for Philly is Alonso coming off of a torn ACL. But I don't think they would have made this trade if they weren't confident he was very much healthy.
