assuming Lundqvist comes back healthy, we'll be as deep at the blue line and goaltending as i've ever seen this team. still good at penalty kill, and actually potent on the pp for a change. i don't like not having a 1st round pick for four straight years, but this team is prime to make another run. so i'm all for it! looking forward to seeing #93 out there tonite. i don't know much about Sheppard. have heard he can take faceoffs, and has a physical style play. can anyone elaborate?
His nothing special rookie season is still better than James Sheppard. I like the acquisition of Sheppard, but this guy is not more than a 4th line player on a cup contending team. He's the replacement for Brian Boyle that we never really found, although I think Boyle is better. JT has also played well with Hagelin and Hayes. It seems like the three of them feed well off each other. I know AV doesn't like Miller much either, but for now the only change we should make to the forward lines is Sheppard in for Glass.
Would any team in the league be thrilled to have Klein as their 4th defenseman? I think its crucial to find a way to get McD, G, Staal and Yandle playing Top 4 minutes. In the playoffs, its ideal to shelter the minutes of Boyle and Klein.

Good on face-offs, good defensively, hits, fights, has some speed, can finish a little bit, can set up teammates a little bit, and is probably a 3rd line player on a lot of teams. For the Rangers, he's probably a 4th line LW. He's a good player.
The way the cap works in the nhl is bullshit. Fuck pegging it to the loonie. Qere definitely going to have to offload someone this summer. Probably klien if we hope to sign hags and stepan back.
