We had cap space which your contingent claimed he refused to spend. And Percy Harvin was a legit acquisition (getting him for a 4th to 6th was a steal). And worth taking a chance on. You said why save all of that cap space when we had over 20 mil. Well when given the opportunity to get an impact player (in the offense plus on special teams) he aggressively made that deal. He was criticized for getting him too late by the haters but Harvin was not made available by Seattle until the time he was traded during the season. As for keeping him at 10.5. No guaranteed money so they donn't have to keep him if he doesn't want to renegotiate. And maybe he will.
I don't truly believe Woody saying he would have re-signed Revis for 2014. Esp after he stated at his presser that if he had known Kraft was getting him for 12 mil he would have made that deal, too. He was just shooting the breeze. He later said in the same presser that he couldn't work with the Revis agents. He said that. If Woody wanted Revis for 2014 he would have just ordered Idzik to sign him. Instead he fires him for doing what he asked him to do. And the Revis deal to the Bucs was a good smart deal. Bush and Cheney lied to start a war for oil not for freedom. Also Halliburton Cheney's company got hundreds of millions in contracts during the Iraq War. As terrible as Saddam was the daily life for people in that area before the US attacked was 100x better than it is now. I totally disagree about Obama. He turned around the economy with almost no help from Congress who thanks to the insane Tea Party-you can't get any thing accomplished. His no boots on the ground for the US and trying to build a coalition is intelligent. How would you like it if US troops were getting their heads cut off on TV which is what will happen if you do that. The newspaper were on his ass as well as numerous fans and it did quell the media and fans for awhile. And yes at the time (looking for anything bright) I was one of the fans who thought it a good trade. Looking at it now (loss of a draft choice and possibly Harvin) makes it a bad move.
