Heh. Some people, actually a lot of people, think you shouldn't cut a high pick at any point on a rookie salary. There is still taking up space on the roster, but beyond that... Wilson is a good argument for cutting even a first round pick on his rookie K, just because he's caused so much misery, for the team and the fans.
Because even though we know Wilson sucks ass, these are all new coaches we have and they are taking their time watching game film from the last few years on all our players.. Im sure if Rex and Idzik were still here he would have been gone last week.. The new coaching staff is just taking things slow.. He will be gone in the next few weeks don't worry.

uhh, because he's a free agent? they don't need to cut him, or Vick, or Colon, their contracts are simply up. they'll no longer be jets in a couple weeks.
If we cut him I wouldn't be surprised to see Rex sign him. He was a role player with Rex but a guy who understands his and Thurmond's scheme. They didn't give him all that many coverage responsibilities because he can't cover but on certain downs he could be ok. He did stick around with the Jets for years. Not every DB has to be a guy who can be near the ball or make big plays. But if he knows his role and can do a few things ok he'll have a job somewhere.

But he isn't technically a Free Agent until March 10th no? So he is still under contract for the New York Jets.
