Yes, while this isn't addressing the specifics of your argument, which differs from the majority who wanted the Jets to lose, it does apply because it shows having more options than what is available picking 6th has had very little impact on the last 20 teams to win the Super Bowl, so while options are desirable their result is rather inconsequential to Super Bowl success. The teams that have won have done so by drafting smarter with less options.
Completely fair, but again, that's not on me. Besides, I don't believe anyone could debate that drafting smarter isn't always the Prime Directive. We had 12 picks last year and came away with relatively little because our GM was not programmed with the Prime Directive. Still doesn't change my view. _

The Browns QB situation sucks because they passed on Russel Wilson three times not because they didn't lose enough to get Andrew Luck. They had the opportunity the get an elite QB and win additional games, so your argument that the "meaningless" wins are why they don't have an elite QB has zero merit. But let's not let facts stand in the way of bullshit.

I disagree fundamentally. Getting a better draft pick means one player should be "better" than the alternative (proven false every year without fail). Winning more means that the entire team is less broken than one that wins less. In the Jets case, if the Jets were more broken than they are, you would not be hearing whispers of "playoffs" after rebuilding one position through FA. It sucks that the Jets can't get their ideal player, but it would suck more to get the ideal player and the rest of the team suck anyway. Then you have the RG3 situation where the ideal pick turned out to be a waste. That really sucks!
