I don't think he has a roommate. He lives in the back of a nail salon by himself. The chick that visits him is obviously an old GF who is a lawyer in his brother's (and his nemesis') old firm.

He's just trying to establish himself as a viable attorney in Albuquerque. Trying the right way, but he's being drawn to the wrong way. But still, it appears he has somewhat of a conscience.

No question about it! His attempt to justify the bribe is very telling.

Wait that's his brother?! I missed that..

And I'm asking about the paranoid guy who hates going outside. Who is he? What is his deal?

Brother. Co-Founder of the big law firm.

Has some disease that he's dying from, believes electricity or electromagnetic forces are contributing to his disease.

Lives alone. No electric, you have to leave all your electronics outside ("ground yourself"). Saul brings him ice every day for his cooler.

    Nut job.

Ok, thank you. I thought you meant the guy trying to sew (sp?) him was his brother.

I knew his brother was having health issues, just couldn't figure out the foil thing. Thanks! Haha

Yeah the guy suing him is the other co-founder of the big law firm, Hamlin. Saul believes his brother is done at the firm so he want's Hamlin to buy him out for a boatload of cash.

His brother thinks he's going to beat the disease so he's on medical leave and Hamlin figured as long as the brother intends to come back, he doesn't need to but him out.

Hamlin doesn't want Saul using his real last name McGill because he believes the firm has intellectual property rights to the name- being as Saul's brother is also McGill and a named partner. The billboard was over the top lol.

Presumably at some point this season he'll change to Saul Goodman when he fully goes over to the dark side.

Man Stokes you are so on point with this. I knew all of that stuff in that post, except the reason the guy didn't want Saul using his own name. I knew I could count on you.

LOL, I loved this part. S'all Good Man. I thought this episode was going to be one of the weaker ones coming, but in reality it's one of the best ones yet.

Yeah it's not until that point that you understood what the beginning sequence was with the watch con. Tied it in perfectly.

I don't understand that opening scene either. I figure it was Saul, and his partner who put that money there right? So they didn't even get any big money in that whole scam. All they got was the 80 bucks that the other guy gave Saul? I mean that's nice and all, but not that big of a deal. I'm not sure I would have included that in the episode personally.

Tidbit: episode 1 - when the brothers are following Tuco's grandmother, hitching the ride on their skateboards on the back of the truck, they tell Jimmy(Saul) on the phone that she turns down Wantabo(sp?).
Wantabo is the street Dale lived on. Tracked there by Jesse and Walt while Jesse was in hiding and Walt was on the verge of being wacked. Where ultimately Jesse killed Dale

I thought they got $580, not just 80.

I think so too, so $580 was beer money, $80 was to little for a scam like that

Maybe I heard it wrong then. I started watching it only 2 or 3 minutes after I got home from work. I could have sworn that it was only 80 bucks.

Thought they found $1000 in the wallet and it ended up $1580, the big guy was happy about the scam, don't think he'd be happy about $80 split two ways
