Alright guys...It's lunch time here in NYC, I don't know what to get...Post what you guys are having for lunch. Maybe we can keep this thread going on a regular basis. May give me and others some ideas on what to get...I am tired of the same food around this area. Also, I am no hater on bringing food from home. I'm all about that financial efficiency. Do discuss. I am feeling Ramen today, not sure but my gut is telling me it would be wise to do tuna salad w/ arugula.
Working from home today, have a pretty cool dinner in the city tonite, so I just made myself a panini of fresh mozzarella, homemade roasted peppers, black forest ham and homemade pesto. The italian roll is nice and crispy and flat. _
I'm wolfing down at my desk (too cold to go outside) a Tupperwear container of cottage cheese and cubes of pineapple with a lot of cracked black pepper on it. Holy 'blah' Batman.......Hey, wanna trade lunches Whitey?
I work in an office and just eat fruits, vegetables. and nuts throughout the day with maybe an egg--if I eat carbs I get lazy.
Yeah, no. Sour cream goes on mexican food or baked potatoes. Never been a big banana fan and I love basically all fruit. _
aahahahahaha!!!....got me. : ) The penguins say 'hi' www.antartica.edu And 'no' I do not (currently) live there). Did however travel to there off a charter from Chile....most amazing, indescribable (dare I say outer-worldly / spiritual) trip I ever took.
Cold and super windy down by the World Trade Center, but I grabbed a Turkey/Cheese/Bacon hero at the deli.
Not on my way, once I was there.........sheesh, why did I even bother answering your Antartica question?..haha. What I meant was, that after you got to camp, you had the option to take a plane to be dropped off further inland to go hiking, shutterbugging, etc.. Once there (and the plane had left) it was at that point that you and your tiny hiking group (with guides) are overtaken by a "gee Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore" vibe setting in. ...some nervous laughter. There you are, the sky's brilliantly bright and crystal clear .... and then it quietly overwhelms you: in the expanse of this vast, enormous landscape, the wind has subsided .....and it's soooo deafeningly quiet ......and as you look around and around and around admist the shimmering, incandescent beauty, the total 'isolation' thing becomes intense, almost daunting - it then hits you like a ton of bricks: "Look ma!....bottom of the world!!..." The Yankees, the Jets, women....EVEN JOHNNY's PIZZA.....they're the last things on your mind. sorry for the temp. hi-jack: Back to Lunch! Some fermented-fish-in-a-can Surströmming anyone? Or maybe your taste buds clamor for the rotten goodness of harkarl?...
