I happen to stumble on a Bowl Classic video on line last night. It was the replay of the 2000 Orange Bowl, Alabama vs. Michigan, the last game of Tom Brady as a Wolverine. I don't watch college football, so except for historical pieces, I never saw Tom Brady play until he went to the Patriots. An interesting side light was that Joe Namath, an Alabama alumni, showed up in the reporting booth. This was the game that Tom Brady brought Michigan back twice from 14 points down, a recurring theme in Brady's career. He threw 4 touchdown passes, but the real star of that game was David Terrell who caught 3 of those touchdowns and made unbelievable yardage after catches. It's also interesting that as good as Alabama and it's running back was, Brady and Terrell are the only 2 NFL names I saw in the game. Brady looked like himself with laser like passes. Watching that video on a cold snowy night was a real treat.
Lazer like. I doubt it. Going on another team's board and saying how great your team and players are (even if true) is Trolling 101. This board allows anything and that's why we all love it. But some boards would throw your ass off for just insinuating that Brady is a great player. He is a persona non grata in these regions. Some idiots jump on a good team's bandwagon because they think it reflects on them and if they root for that team they're a winner. Based on reading your posts you've proven you're not.
This is an NFL thread, posting about NFL players is not trolling, it's educational. Yeah my bad, Shawn Alexander will be in Canton any minute now---if the bus is on time.
Sounds like you're being sarcastic, but he was a very good player. He had the td in a season record for a short bit too.
Yes Alexander was fantastic in that game and in that season. Initially, my point was only Terrell and Brady made a career of football after that. It's amazing that with all the fantastic football players in college, so few of them make it in the pros. It's really just a comment on that.
Hahaha you are a moron, I barely remember Terrell playing in the NFL at all, he only has stats for 5 seasons and never caught the ball more than 43 times in any of them As far as Alexander... 3× Pro Bowl (2003, 2004, 2005) First-team All-Pro (2005) Second-team All-Pro (2004) NFC Champion (2005) 2× PFW All-NFC (2004, 2005) NFC Offensive Player of the Year (2005) 2× NFC Rushing leader (2004, 2005) NFL Rushing leader (2005) NFL Post-Season Rushing leader (2005) AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2005) NFL Alumni Rushing Back of the Year (2005) NFL MVP (AP, PFWA, NEA, SN, MX, 2005) Former Record Holder of NFL Most Single-Season TDs (27 TD in 2005) NFL 2000s All-Decade Team Seattle Seahawks 35th Anniversary team USA Today High School All-American (1994) Seattle Seahawks All-Time Attempts Leader Seattle Seahawks All-Time Rushing Yards Leader Seattle Seahawks All-Time Rushing Touchdown Leader Seattle Seahawks #37 retired 7th All-Time in Rushing Touchdowns This thread is a real treat
