I do like Crabtree, he finally started to live up to the hype coming out of college over his last few seasons. I agree that he's a physical WR who doesn't mind contact. If we can get him in the mid-range pricewise then I'd be all for him. I definitely don't want the Jets to overpay for him though. He's a good to very good WR, but I wouldn't consider him elite so I'd only want him if the Jets pay him accordingly.

Worth a look, remember Jets liked him coming out and even got hit with tampering charges I believe.

NO. I don't think the Jets can afford to sign a FA WR, but even if they could, I wouldn't want him. He can't stay healthy. He's just too risky, and the Jets have had little or no luck with signing FAs with injury histories.

I think you're over exaggerating in regards to Crabtree's injury history. In his six seasons, only two seasons did he miss significant time, his rookie year (5 games missed ) and 2013 (11 games played). With that being said, I don't think he should be our "Plan A" or even our Plan B", but we shouldn't completely dismiss him from being an option based on two seasons of injuries with one coming during OTA's. . For the right price (say 2 years/$6 million with a player option) I don't see why not. Honestly, his major problem is his friggin attitude.... Has a reputation of being a bit of a diva....

I would sign Crabtree if he doesn't get a big contract and if Harvin is released.

I'd pass on Crabtree. Maybe it's just me, but I get kind of a Santonio Holmes vibe from him. I'd much rather have Maclin or Cobb.

We aren't getting EITHER of those guys...as far as quality receivers go I think Crabtree might be it. And I've watched him up close since he entered the league...trust me...he IS a bit of a diva but he is no where NEAR Santonio Holmes mouth wise OR talent wise...of that you can trust me. Crabtree has some of the most solid hands in the league and once he has the ball he is squeezing every yard he can out of it. I mentioned it earlier in the thread...he's the receiver equivalent to Beast Mode to tackle. Again, for me...it all boils down to money. His "head" needs to come around to reality and accept what he's truly worth...not what he FEELS he's due.

Pass. I'd rather dump Harvin and sign Cobb instead of that mediocre Crabtree.

Bowles is not looking for slow. He does not sy a lot about offense but he always says he wants to take more shots downfield.

I think you have the wrong "Smith" at WR in mind.

Agree, but we already have someone who can stretch the field, gain ungodly YAC, and produce ESPN TD highlights with ease. Question is, do we have a coaching staff smart enough to put him on the outside? Minnesota and Seattle didn't.

No interest. This guy is a stiff and a waste of money. We can do much better.

No. He sucks. On top of that he's always hurt. He had one good year.

The 9ers are desperate for WR talent and they reportedly have little interest in retaining his services.

The Achilles tear probably robbed him of whatever explosion he had.

I'd rather draft a stud WR or hope one shakes loose in FA (Cobb, Marshall) that we can go after.

Because Cardale Jones comes out next year.

Trade the number 1 this year for a 1 and a 2 next year to someone that wants Mariota, and take the better QB from this years National Championship game,.
Then mimic the Colts "Suck for Luck" season.
