Mariota is one of the best QB prospects I have ever seen

Like i said, they both did what they had to do during the combine. But to say that Winston blew Mariota away during the combine is beyond ridiculous.

Mariota destroyed him in every combine category so if we were going to say one blew the other away it would be Mariota blowing Winston away. But like I said, they both showed what they had to show.

Throwing the football, you really thought Mariota looked better than Winston?

I thought they both looked good throwing the football in shorts and a TShirt. Both missed a couple throws, both showed a strong arm, both showed solid footwork. Like I said for the 3rd time now, they both showed what they had to show to keep there stock high.

But to say Winston blew away Mariota today is ridiculous.

I thought they both looked head and shoulders against the field but I didn't see the big chasm between the 2 of them that Falco saw.

It's just a personal opinion based on what I saw. Mariota struggled with a few overthrows as well as missing on the deep ball. Winston was more accurate and threw the ball a lot better than I feel Mariota did.

Would I take Mariota? Absofuckinlutely. This has nothing to do with being a "homer". I was impressed as hell with both, but the way Winston looked with his throws and his football IQ, he blew me away. I didn't expect that at all

The fact that Mariota, the "very raw...system QB...who lacked basic fundamentals", displayed comparable arm talent and footwork as Winston is more impressive than Winston showing everyone what they already knew.

No one said he lacked basic fundamentals. Well, at least I've never heard anyone say that. The question is about the system he was in and whether that can translate to the NFL. No one I know questioned his talent, at all.

Calling plays in the huddle ... is that not a fundamental aspect?

A few? More like a couple and "struggled" would be overstatement of the century.

I did answer your question, throwing the football was basically a tie. They both threw it well in shorts and a TShirt, yippee.

I already knew they both have NFL quality arms.

I'm not the one who made the stupid ass comment that one blew the other one away at the combine lol.

Depends on the offense. Note I was the first person on this board to bring inexperience in orating plays and commanding a huddle should be a concern.
