Looks like your story has disappeared from the ESPN website. Gee, wonder why they did that.

Like your team does so often, you lose.

Some reporter who isn't an NFL employee created this report. So please explain again how the league is trying to smear the Pats?

I really wish this thread would just end. Now that the love fest between kraft and his jock strap boy (comish) has ended it doesn't look like the "cheaters" will get away with just a pat(lol) on the azz. Here's hoping they lose draft picks and/or suspension for belicheat.

Did you become a Pats fan in 2002?

    Because I bet you did.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN first reported that 11 of the 12 footballs were deflated by at least 2 lbs. each.
The NFL denied that at the time, and now it is known that only one football was in that condition and it was the very ball that the player intercepted, brought to the sideline, and handed to the equipment manager for his own keeping. That player stated he did not say anything to anyone that the ball felt funny or deflated.
The ball continued to be in the hands of the Colts until it was turned over to the officials and stated, by the Colts, as being suspiciously low on air.
All the other balls tested were within a few ounces of the official weight.

Here's the reason we haven't heard anymore on this issue of Deflate gate:

    A) An NFL official ball handler (#1) stole one of the 12 official balls turned over by the Patriots for the game, with the intention of selling it after the game. This official was found to do this in previous
games. Kind of like his own additional revenue stream.
    B) Another NFL official ball handler (#2) noticed that a ball was missing from the 12 and replaced the missing ball with an unauthorized ball, that is a ball not officially turned over to the officials by the
    Patriots.
    C) Then NFL official ball handler (#1), having heard that a missing ball was reported, attempted to return the missing ball he stole.
    D) All of this NFL nefarious ball handling was recorded on video tape. ( Apparently video taping has it's advantages.)
    E) NFL official ball handle #1 has been fired.

Good luck to the NFL attempting to untangle itself from responsibility in it's and particularly this official ball handling matters.
It is just as reasonable to assume that the Colts deflated the one ball that came into their possession and they turned over to the officials as suspicious, as it is to assume that New England
deflated balls, of which only one was found to be unreasonably low on air.

I don't think this has anything to do with deflate gate other than our being the same game.

….11 out of 12 balls, the 'K' ball, Belichick's pentchant for cheating at every corner (both in his proessional and in his private life) etc., etc., and to think some ball attendant's clumsy attempt to cash in should serve to exculpate the Patriots and the latest edition of 'The Patriot Way' is wicked folly.
