On the OT showing his age...I think (could be pure speculation here) that his play is a direct result of over compensation trying to cover for our absolutely shitty guard play...on both sides for that matter. Hell, the shitty guard play really blew up the whole line if you ask me. If we can lure a guy like Iupati and have Aboushi continue to progress we MAY be on to something. Winters in my opinion needs to walk.
Well yeah, my comment was all dependent on us upgrading the OL. I just meant the QB position is general. Draft a lineman late in the draft and sign a big name like Lupati in free agency. Now we go into the season with an upgraded line and two QBs with a high cieling. I'd love that
bradford would be the only qb i would trade/sign…most qbs who are usually available are bad…he is not, injures and awful team take the blame…he at least has upside
I'd go after Bradford as well. I wouldnt be opposed to trading for Sam and then drafting a QB in the early rounds to sit behind him/provide insurance to him in case he gets hurt.
I have no interest in trading for Sam Bradford and paying him 13 million when he will most likely get hurt again If he's released, now thats a whole different story.

Just off of memory, but it seemed like d' brick got beat bad on the outside a bunch of times last season. The jailbreaks up the middle were pathetic though and it was all on the shit guards. Mm offensive philosophy sucked for our personnel. We were not a shotgun or spread offense team, we still aren't; a blind man should be able to see that. Just run the ball and we would have had a much better chance The oline is a disaster. The offense will continue to be a disaster until the oline is addressed. '09 was the last time we added anything of value to the oline.
I would love to bring this guy in,He really does have the potential to be a franchise QB if he can stay healthy....the question is what would it take to get him?With the money he is due its a big risk to take on a guy who has proven that he can't stay healthy.....Id hope we could get him to restructure if we made this happen
The best thing about this is that it puts another suitor for Mariota in play. That drives up the price for the pick that turns into him and creates another team that the Eagles might want to leapfrog to get at Mariota. A team behind the Jets in the draft order.

Having experienced the fragile QB syndrome firsthand at Arizona, I doubt Coach Bowles even considers Bradford an option.
He played for the Rams, that record isn't a direct representation of his skill. Not saying he's an above average quarterback, he's average at best (still better than what the Jets have), but I won't count his record as a starter as a representation of his skill level.
