Sam Bradford has permission from the Rams to seek a trade. He is one of 4 currently active QB's I can see us pursuing. I cannot imagine any trade for Bradford would not include a new contract as there is no way we would want to take on his current deal. This may end up going no where for Bradford and he may end up getting released.

Just one more team trying to find a QB
Watch them trade with the Skins. Irony

Bradford isn't a bad QB - he's an average QB though - has a chance to resurrect his career. I hope he gets cut and the Jets get this guy ASAP. Even if we draft a QB, Bradford is a professional and can play the game.

Just curious, but how many years does a guy get to demonstrate that he's an average or good QB > 4 years with a record of 18-30-1 as a starter.

Not a bad choice in an awful QB FA year.

However, they would need to also trade for that contract. So 12 million for an average QB coming off 2 injuries. On the flipside, he has the highest ceiling of any available guys.

If I had my choice it would be Bradford. yes it is risky b/c of his durability but it's a chance I take.

If he was coming off of one injury id take a chance.

But he's been proven to be injury prone.

he's the best option outside of drafting mariota/winston.

    Boom! Get this kid.

    Get a new O-line too

Get DeMarco Murray, or Thomas; we have an offense.

I'm with you. I'd like to pick him up. Even if they draft Mariota or Wilson. I wouldn't expect a lot initially from him, and would wait a year to get over the ACL's and get healthy otherwise, to see what he's really got, even if he ends up starting.

To be fair, the Rams never gave him any wrs so we don't really know how good he could be. If the Jets were to trade for him, they better do themselves a favor and add some weapons around him.

I am wondering what the rams would want?

    No thanks.

Bradford is an overpaid perennial underachiever (bust, quite frankly) coming off 2 straight blown ACLs.

Signing him off the street is one thing. I'm not giving up any compensation for him though.

I would be upset if we gave up something for him. His cap charge is like 12 M also. Hopefully Macc doesn't bite.

Rams have been an awful team, there hasn't been any weapons for Bradford his entire tenure. Then add the fact that he was being taught by B. Schottenheimer, and you got yourself a recipe for disaster. The kid doesn't make many mistakes and has had some bad luck with injures.

I won't trade for him, but I would pick him if he gets cut. If we do trade, contract will need to be ripped to pieces.

His injuries are serious, I personally don't want to re live the Pennington years. That was more painful than watching geno throw the ball to the other team.. So if healthy we could be an above avg team but one play away from him getting hurt and us being awful. I don't want to go back down that road.

He was an overall 1 selection only a few years ago. So again for all of the Winston-Mariota must have advocates after a few years a lot of these guys are yesterday's newspaper. A reason not to put all of your eggs in one basket. And to keep swinging and missing on potential franchise Qbs.

Bradford is an interesting prospect. I'd like to see us go after him if the price is right. This seems like an appropriate situation for a conditional performance/injury based compensation. Maybe a 5th that can go to a 4th, 3rd or as high as a second based on games started, pro-bowl, or something to that effect.

    Have you watched him play?

Even when healthy the guy misses wide open receivers on a regular basis.

He has had one of the lowest YPA and YPC in the league, even during his rookie year when people were touting him as a rising star.

Add in the injury risk and cap charge and you are talking a high risk / low reward proposition in my opinion.
