we had some really good Ds, maybe not statistically as good as '09/'10 but probably as good. '02 and '04 our Ds were really good especially 2004 but he wasn't healthy by the end of 2004.
Kenny, Chad and Vinny all had moments of greatness while I've been watching the Jets. They were fleeting moments, however. I'd probably go with Chad because he had great accuracy, which made up for his lack of arm strength. In 2002 it really looked for a moment like we'd found our QB...
Seems to be a Pennington vs. O'Brien debate. Unfortunately for me I am not old enough to remember the O'Brien days. So from what I have seen: Chad by a mile. Only thing that held him back was injuries.
Kenny O'Brien played behind a Bottom 5 offensive line every year of his career; the numbers he put up are a miracle under the circumstances.
Is it possible for you enter a thread and not be completely and entirely wrong about everything you type? Seriously, this is not a rhetorical question.
Loved Chad as a QB. What a player...If only his armed held up. In the end he became Noodle-Armed Pennington. But there is a perfect case of a player who worked with what his strengths were before he completely could not throw a 20 yard pass.
I apologize for correcting you, if it happens a lot that should tell you something. it is a complete myth that our OLs stunk back in those days.
Yup, he blew it. I loved Gastineau as a player, but this was the single worst on-the-field mistake in the history of the franchise.
From a purely statistical point of view and wins...it goes to Sanchez. Namath gets #1 ONLY because he won the Super Bowl or Sanchez would be #1...based on statistics that is. Kind of a fuckin' sobering thought if you think about it.
