I think so too. Those conference RPI ratings are dead on as far as top conferences, top to bottom

your weak argument here is focused on a singular team, the ratings we are talking about are at the conference level. I think RPI can be criticized to a degree if you look at singular teams, but it at least keeps them in the ballpark. Which is why it usually gets it right from the bigger picture, the conference level. This year is no different.

it means they scheduled a truly challenging schedule? 14 of their sames are against the AP top 25?

meaningless, most of the Big 12 teams are vastly overrated.

FYI - Gonzaga play more games against teams with an RPI of 150 or higher than those with an RPI of 150 or lower.

You think those are big time teams? the fact that you would include Mich State tells me all I need to know.

I would say Utah is the best of the bunch but how could that be when they lost by 18 at Arizona while crappy Gonzaga lost in OT on the same floor?

So what you are saying is that Gonzaga deserves credit for scheduling Memphis because of how well they played years ago, but Kansas does not deserve the same benefit for scheduling a far superior Michigan State program?

    and you respond w/:

did I call Memphis a big time team? was I discussing KU's scheduling?

    YOUR QUOTE:

Why won't you give the same credit to Kansas for scheduling Michigan State, a far superior program to memphis?

if we were discussing scheduling I'd agree... this has to be a goof. I apologize for not getting it. You got me. I keep falling for the act.

Interesting… Top 30 teams with no losses to teams outside of the top 30: UK, UVa, Gonzaga, Louisville, UNC.

One of the Coaches in this Week's AP Poll gave Gonzaga a #1 vote over Kentucky.

Anyone here want to justify that vote?

St. John's could not afford to lose last night. They really need to come away with at least 3 wins in the next 5 games

I want St. John's to make it but their resume is very weak. Their best win was over Syracuse who isn't very good. they have 'Nova and GU twice so those are 3 games against Tourney bound teams. they will probably need to win 2 of them.
