so Gonzaga didn't get a scare as they beat SC by 14? thanks for clarifying.

so Georgia is a good win? Gonzaga beat them by double digits.

this means very little, the Big 12 is vastly overrated as is the BE . these are just #s to help, they are not the ultimate #s.

wow - how Conference USA has fallen in recent years.

    Love the big east at 2 & the A 10 at 7.

I don't think the WCC is better than the Missouri Valley or Mountain West but Gonzaga certainly helps bring that rating up I imagine

Didn't say it was a GOOD win, I said it was Georgia's SECOND BEST win, far better than the second best win that Santa Clara has.

How on earth do you draw this kind of speculation?

How on earth is the Big 12 Vastly overrated? They have SIX teams in the AP Top 25?!?! Thats half the conference!

In addition, Three of the top five SOS' in the country are from the Big 12!

they are beating up on weak Big 12 teams to get there. The Big 12 has not impressed me at all, Kansas looked like a joke in non conf and now they are in line for a 1 seed. That is a much bigger travesty than Gonzaga possibly getting a 1 seed.

Duke blows out Notre dame by 30 after shooting like 80% in the first half. What a beat down.

Also, what a great win for Oklahoma St. That's the 3rd top-10 team they have beaten this year.

Kentucky is the only decent team in the SEC. The Cats are over rated playing a weak schedule.
The refs helped KY win against Florida which is a game above .500.
For the dumb dumb Cats fans in Ky, look out for an upset in the NCAA's.
If Ky played in the ACC, they would have multiple losses, but they play in the basketball weak SEC.

never saw a Villanova game like the one I saw Saturday: How do we beat Georgetown by 20 (After they beat us by 20, mind you) in a game where we commit 20 turnovers?

The SEC stinks but UK would not have more than MAYBE a loss or 2 and that is a BIG maybe. Can they be upset? of course they can be, that is what makes the tourney great- any team can be upset but UK is definitely the best team in the Country w/ only UVa really having a claim other than UK. That doesn't mean only UVa can beat them, UK can be beat but they are a worthy #1.

what a stupid post and I'm not even a Kentucky/Calipari fan.

They flat out destroyed the best Big 12 team in Kansas by like 50 points, they beat 2 of the best ACC teams, NC by double digits and Louisville on the road...

Plus the SEC itself is NOT much of a downgrade from the ACC. A little bit but not like Gonzaga is the WCC.

Kentucky may or may not be 23-0 if they played in the ACC but they'd still be ranked no 1 and if they get bounced from the tournament early, something they've never done with Calipari at the helm, it's not going to be because of their schedule

The ACC is better than the SEC by a WIDE margin, it's not even close but UK is still the best team.

the top is much better yes but there's a significant drop off in the ACC. When you look at the conference as a whole it's not better by a wide margin. its better but not dramatically better.

Clemson is 6-5 in ACC play and firmly planted squarely in the middle of the ACC with losses to Winthrop, Gardner Webb and a blowout loss to South Carolina, the second worst SEC team for example

there are bad teams, the current ACC is a lot like the BE from a few years ago. really good teams at the top and some really bad teams but the SEC has one top team and nothing else.

Smaller gap between the ACC and the SEC than there is between the SEC and the WCC, correct?

Top to Bottom, Big 123 is the best conference, followed by the Big East.

The RPI ratings are very accurate, IMHO.

no it is not, both are incredibly overrated. The fact that KU is #1 in RPI tells us all we need to know about RPI
