I remember he had a huge game a few years back when they were resting Rogers then bounced around a bit before ending up in Green Bay again. I wouldn't expect him to be the answer but I like that he is a little older and has played under Aaron Rodgers so he might be a good mentor to a rookie QB. If I'm taking a flyer on a FA QB it's either Jake Locker or Christian Ponder. Both have upsides and will come fairly cheap. I don't expect either to be the answer but the cost is low enough to be worth the risk. Glennon would be the better QB most likely but I suspect he'll cost a at least a 3rd round pick and he's not worth that pick.

I think it depends what Matt Moore wants at this point in his career/life. If he wants to earn about 3-4M per year and probably not play much anymore, then Miami is the place. It's a bad year for FA QBs...unless you can trade for a decent current backup with starting potential ...I'd just as soon keep Geno under center...hopefully a third year with better coaching will help

It is surprising, but when it gets down to draft time, we'll see what he actually fetches via trade... And I'd bet strongly he does get dealt because with Mariota/Jameis and McCown as a veteran presence, there's no place for him on that team and I'm sure he, the Bucs and the rest of the league can see that. It just depends on how this regime grades the available QBs. If they really like Glennon's potential and feel he's a potential starter, then I want to see them go get him even it costs a 4th or a player like Quinton Coples. As initially reported Mallet was of interest to Mac because he knows him from the Texans. But on paper Glennon is the better prospect, I think. This reminds me of that scene in the Big Lebowski - "lots of moving parts here, man." But as it stands now, I think it unlikely that Mariota falls to 6. The smart move then I think would be to obtain someone like Glennon before the draft, because you might not be able to get him after. And I could even see getting both Glennon and Mariota since relying on Smith in any respect is so unappetizing.

Unless we're trading Smith for Glennon straight up I'd look elsewhere for QB alternatives, keeping Smith and Glennon on the same team is a waste of time.
