It's so interesting how players' apparent draft stocks change from the end of the season through the draft (within the media, anyway). Right now it seems so difficult to predict the direction they'll go in the draft because this whole new regime is still developing their opinions on the current roster and will have to see how they utilize their large amount of cap space. But QB, WR, OT, OLB/DE seem to be the four key positions in play given the talent likely to be available and this team's needs IMO.
I don't think Kevin White is being talked about enough. I think he's right there with Cooper and he has way better measurables. I'd be ecstatic if we picked him.
So is Parker in my opinion. In fact, unless they fall in love with a QB who makes it to 6, you have to admit this early on, the OLBs look like the best value
If we go WR in the 1st, White and Parker are both great fallback options is we lose out on Cooper..BUT we should not take either of those guys at 6. Sure a lot can change in 4 months but as of right now you trade back. Those guys should still be there at 10-12.
This. Kevin White is still kind of a project. This year was the first year he was the #1 WR in his life (and he went to a Juco before WVU). He's got the measurables but 6 is a reach in my opinion. If he blows out the combine who knows though.
This situation reminds me a lot of Sammy Watkins vs Mike Evans last year. Freak measurables vs a very polished, pro-ready receiver. Sammy is great but I think if Buffalo had a chance to go back they're looking at the other guy That being said I haven't been able to watch too much NCAA like year's past so my opinion doesn't count for much.
The scouts are saying White is a little taller then Cooper and will go across the middle and catches everything but his route running is below Coopers.
