Farrior did what he did with the Steelers because the Steelers did what they do with outstanding college OLB's, they moved him inside. He was a perfect fit for their defense.

right on some, wrong on most.

your last comment is why we deserve a losing team.

It's an educated opinion, not the opinion of a typical nit wit fan who boos everything. I'm just not the type of person getting excited over 2 title game runs then bashing the guys that got us there 2 years later. I have an appreciation for what they did for my team

Yet you fail to appreciate what Ken O'Brien for us did over a much longer period of time.

I appreciate Ken but I also have to speak realistically about him. I never said he sucked, I discuss him realistically.

I'm guessing you are younger. I remember this well. Falcons jumped in one spot ahead of the Jets and took Favre. We ended up with the mighty Browning Nagle.

Hold on a second, cowboy. A bunch of that list did not get 'booed out of town'. Pete Carroll was fired by the owner to go get Kotite. Al Groh left to go back to coaching in college. Both after one year, mind you. No one gets booed out of town in one year. And Rex Ryan was beloved by fans who are still crying about it.

The rest of the list, with a couple of exceptions, SHOULD have gotten booed out if town. WTF did Coslet, Nagle, Thomas, your boy Edwards, and Mangini do when they left? Answer: NOTHING.

This is the first time I've ever heard anyone whine about Blair F'ing Thomas getting booed out of town.

Parcells was way before my time so I really have no idea about that time period bar what I've read here. The thing that struck me is the number of posters lamenting that Parcells cost us bellicheat. With everything that has happened in ne 4 tainted sb's would people really have sold their soul to the devil and be happy to win by cheating?

you think Pete Carroll was loved w/ blowing that Miami game and not winning a game the rest of the season going from 6-5 to 6-10?

    Groh I can remove.

Rex is hated by most on here, acting like he's Rich Kotite and forgetting all he did for us.

Coslet took over a bad franchise and we were 8-8 when he got fired.

Nagle sucked but was never really given a chance

Thomas had some moments but fans were all over him by 1991.

Herm did a very good job here, boggles my mind how unappreciated he is by our terrible fans. He took KC back to the playoffs for only the 2nd time in a decade then they had a complete rebuild.

Mangini had winning seasons 2 of his 3 years here.

every person bashing BB and NE would be defending him to the death if he did that here. Most of it is overblown anyway and do you think he just woke up one day and all of this things just came to him or do you think maybe he learned under BP?

Jet fans were fine w/ the shady way we got BP and BB but up in arms when Kraft got Belichick back the same way.

Actually Atlanta was already picking one spot ahead of us. We had a deal to jump ahead of the Falcons with the Cards (who were picking one spot ahead of the Falcons) but the Cards reneged at the last second and stayed put.

I remember the report was the Jets were so apoplectic that the trade fell though and the Falcons took Favre, their collective heads exploded and they immediately put in the Nagle pick.

    me th

me thinks the farrior situation was an instant indictment on edwards and bradway...they inherited a team with a decent 3-4 style defense that needed a retool at best - and made the ridiculous decision to install a 4-3 and let farrior go. i seem to remember edwards chirping about the tampa defense and wanting to model it. what a tool. yeah thats head coaching material with ur head in your ass.

from that point on i felt edwards was a charade of a coach - all talk but no substance.

Herm fed the Patriots all the talent they needed to win their first SB.

I read someplace it was his father Archie who told him to stay and not come out that year.
