The MVP always gets voted on with like a couple minutes remaining, Lynch would have gotten it anyway based on 100+ yards rushing and the long reception to start the drive.

If you are going to throw it, why throw it in the middle like that. Why not throw a sideline pattern. If you notice the reply, Lynch is wide open on the left side flat heading toward the sideline.

It was just a really bad play call. For once the talking heads have it right. The Seahawks are 80% favored to win that game just handing the ball to Lynch on the 2 foot line. If he loses ground then you call your timeout and look at your options.

Now that I rewatched it, clearly the WR was knocked off his route. How was that not interference ???

Oh c'mon. What coach will be happy in throwing away a game?

Both players have a right to make a play for the ball. He wasn't interfering with the receiver; they simply collided in the same space going for the same pass.

That was the worst play I have ever seen. Worse than Ben Wallace shooting in his own hoop

The other flaw with this play which isn't getting discussed is as great as Wilson is, and I think last night solidified he is great despite the INT, that's a play not suited for Wilson. Because of his height he has to throw that pass high to get it over the line, making it an easier play for the pass defender to make a play for. You want that pass a little lower and need a talker QB who can throw it on a downward trajectory and get it over the line.

I think it coulda been called but also I don't think it's an argument that's going to win. But The refs did screw the Hawks on their previous possession by not calling interference when Lockette was tripped by the outstretched hand of the db who fell behind him.

That hold was the reason I thought the play was a free play. I "knew" there was a flag thrown.

Then when there were no flags thrown, I was like "that was it?" WHY DIDN'T YOU RUN IT?

Seattle mismanaged the clock and blew 2 TO's. They only had time to run it once with one TO left and 30 secs.

BTW, Carroll was wrong about the Pats having a straight goal line D, Revis said the Pats had 3 corners on the field.

Fake to Lynch bootleg or 2 QB sneaks, your QB is an athlete = Seahawks win Super Bowl

With only 1 TO left they could not run it 3 times, assuming they get stopped.

I'm not sticking up for the Seahawks play calling, because I think there was at least a 70% chance Lynch runs it in from there on his first chance.

But with the time left, you can see why they might try to throw once to make sure they get 3 cracks at the end zone. If it's incomplete, you can run it twice. Once before and once after the TO.

The Pats blew the play up or else it's a walk-in TD for Seattle. Browner jammed Kearse so he couldn't screen Butler and Butler made a phenominal play.

Can't believe Russel Wilson couldn't get 1 yard on 2 sneaks

4 receiver set, spread out the defense and hand it to lynch up the middle. You give the ball to Lynch there 4x. Once he called the TO, the whole offense aught to know if Lynch is tackled short, quickly lineup and run the same play the opposite direction or Wilson just dive in. There was plenty of time.

Read option = SB. Easily worst play-call in the history of the game. The only other play I can think of is this:

I'm of the opinion that if it's 4th and goal from the 1 yard line - that you deserve to win or lose based on if you can gain that yard.

    On the ground.

2nd and goal from the 1. I have no explanation.

Good call also, besides a sneak or bootleg
