http://www.usatoday.com/story/money...-kfc-fried-chicken-hot-dog-sandwich/22350739/ Who needs a soggy bun when your hot dog can be wrapped in fried chicken? Kentucky Fried Chicken is replacing bread with meat at select Philippines restaurants, according to a Facebook post from KFC Philippines. There are no plans for the fast food chain in the United States to add the sandwich to the menu, according to KFC. The new Double Down Dog sandwich features a hot dog covered in cheese and fitted into a bun-size piece of fried chicken. On Jan. 26 and 27, the brave and hopefully heart healthy can purchase the sandwich from participating KFC's in the Philippines, the Facebook post says.
The entire thing looks gross. I love a good hotdog but one from KFC wrapped in chicken with a nasty cheese sauce? I'll pass.
can't be much worse than heat-n-eat chicken cordon bleu from Costco having lived in the Philippines throughout the 1990s, i've witnessed Pure Foods hotdogs used for worse recipes
How about this? Burger King's Kuro Burger Btw, I would eat the KFC crap if someone gave me money to do it
Not in a million years. Looks disgusting. Serious question. What does Mc Donalds and Burger King serve in India? No beef no Mc Donalds right?
Hell yes. The double down sandwich was the best thing to happen to North America. Anything that replaces ham with a hot god has got to rock.
I think both are actually owned by the same parent company. Funny thing is having spent my entire football season in Manila I can tell you that fried chicken is everywhere. There are literally dozens of fried chicken fast food places but KFC in Manila is 10 times better than KFC in the States. Jollibee is disgusting and they have a few of them in the States but I'll pass. That being said I likely would not eat this, no real desire.
I guess that makes sense cause neither of them is any good at making the food in their franchise name
