Rex Ryan will join Joe & Evan at the SB radio row on WFAN at Noon EST. Should be interesting to hear him sitting down with Joe and Evan. Thought I'd start a thread for discussion here.
Nice....look foward to hearing it,id love for him to call out John Idzik publicly for not providing him with what he needed to win
Sorry. Although I'd imagine the topic of Jets will be discussed at length when he's on, not the Bills.
He said Woody Johnson didn't wanna fire him,He basically through Stephen Hill under the bus without saying his name, said he never had the final say in any draft picks,Basically blamed Idzik without ever saying it
Makes sense. It's easier to displace blame, but it's also obvious Idzil forced Rex's hand with a lot of stuff like forcing Geno to start and such. Rex loves Vick and the idea of a dynamic running quarterback. Why wouldn't he want to start Vick? Stuff like that leads me to believe the majority of the roster work the past two years falls on Idzik with Rex chirping in the background.
Screw Rex he went to the enemy. And I was one of his biggest supporters.. Shaking my head. Same goes for Revis. I hope we destroy them both next year.
This is Jets related and can stay in the Jets forum. No need to chirp in about where threads are supposed to be. That's why the MODS do.
I'd didn't hear it but its obvious he had a lot of influence in the Jets draft. Of course the final decision is the GM's. He had a lot more talent than 4-12 in 2014.
Good to know that nothing is ever Rex's fault still. Even after he leaves. He won't make any mistakes in Buffalo either. Everyone around him will make many though. Just ask him.
heard the interview......there wasn't much to it. he didn't point any fingers, and wouldn't take the bait. When asked about Idzik's plan, he said obviously things didn't work out how anyone wanted. they baited him further to take a shot at Idzik, and he wouldn't do it. When asked about his own firing, he said Woody didn't want to fire him, but that's what happens after a 4 win season.
The future narrative in Buffalo will be about how he was saddled with bad QBs. He did a nice job choosing Buffalo because he has a built in excuse from day 1 with EJ Manuel
Rex was fired and Revis was traded, then ignored in FA. Our divisional rivals gave them the best offers to sign up with them. Probably as they saw first hand what they bring to the table. can't really blame either of them for ending up where they did. of course, i also hope we beat them now.
It sucks Rex is still in our division and will probably be our biggest rival for however long he lasts there. I can't blame him for taking the Bills job..he had a punchers chance at ATL and wanted to be a HC still. Compared to this franchises long history of failures at Head Coach, the Rex Ryan era was a success. Most people are thankful for the guy holding their teams franchise record in playoff games Won, Coached, and AFC championship appearances.
Rex never fights his own battles. He always comes off as a good guy. He lets his leaks do his talking.
How is this not Jet related?the guy was the coach for 6 years and he was talking about things related to his tenure with the Jets.....
