Oh I wasn't talking Pennington exactly, but type of conservative QB. He just safe, consistency more than a playmaker.
I've seen all of them and I pick Pennington above all else. Wicked talented, a perfect 1st draft choice that (Brady) year. (Too funny, the 49'ers picked Giovanni Carmazzi!)
In postseason Sanchez did play it safe limiting TOs and he made big plays. a Chad type would have won more games in the reg season.
Yes and more regular season wins would lead to better positioning in the playoffs and more consistent team overall and no downturn in the offense due to a turnover prone QB in the regular season.
Possibly but w/ NE in the division that is not a guarantee. Chad had some really good teams around him and the only time he finished ahead of NE was at 9-7.
Theres a difference between playing hurt (in pain) and playing injured. Favre played with an injury. He simply wasn't just playing hurt (in pain) this has been proven as a fact yet you keep saying this over and over.
I don't care, he played and is judged on how he played. To me it is just an excuse like so many other times he failed in big games.
You're right since he did play it's fair to judge his performance. However it's also fair to acknowledge WHY he played the way he did and it's because of an injury.
he played the same way the majority of that season, throwing balls up for grabs and hoping his receivers would come down w/ them. It would be one thing if he was great the first 10-12 games and then the injury was why he sucked but that's not the case. He sabotaged out season.
He 100% did, if we keep Chad we cruise to the div title. Favre was awful most of that season outside of a 3-4 game stretch. He was more concerned w/ helping Packer opponents prepare for GB than helping the Jets win.
