Unfortunately, thanks to the Patriots and Roger Goodell, yes. I wouldn't go so far as to blame fans of other teams, we see what's going on. We care. We see what's going on. We see Roger Goodell clearly in bed with Bob Kraft. We see the league turning a blind eye to what is going on. So, yes, unfortunately you are correct. The NFL is right on the edge of becoming the WWF. They are standing on the precipice right now, they are looking into the abyss. They are about to leave the world of "sport" and leap into the world of "entertainment". It's sad. I grew up loving the NFL. I loved the competition, the battles, the true sport of it. Now, thanks to the New England Patriots, Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, and of course Roger Goodell, we look at a league that is about to jump into the world of "global entertainment". No different than WWF, Cirque d' Solei, Monster Truck Competitions, etc. By not banning the Patriots from this Super Bowl, Roger Goodell has stepped over that line.
Exactly. You can't look at this in a vacuum, even though the Pats homers will. Once you have been caught cheating AGAIN, ALL of your wins come under scrutiny.
if they don't crack this incident down harder than last, then I think all of us fans need to stop supporting the NFL and the NFL money machine, games, tickets, tv, merchandise and fantasy football. The game is gone and the entertaiment is what we have left, we're at WWE stage
It would really be telling if they struggle with fumbles and dropped passes on Sunday. Although, you know the Pats excuse will be: "well we didn't get proper time to prepare. We were busy sorting out claims that we were cheating. Bellicheck had to spend a lot of his time creating his science fair project."
Tom Brady Had An Interesting Response When Asked If He Would Be Completely Exonerated For Deflategate. A must read.. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/tom-brady-had-interesting-response-215828546.html
What sticks out is the total defiance of brady. He should take a page from his cheating coach and just shut up. I really hope the NFL brass take this to the next level and really stick it to them.
To be fair I don't think there's anything he can say at this point that won't sound like bullshit. If he goes balls to the wall I didn't do it people will point at Roger Clemens and Lance Armstrong. If he is wishy washy he doesn't sound very convincing.
Agreed, but the weird part is this goes completely against his original statements. When he had that presser, he was adamant that they did nothing wrong. That they broke no rules and they did everything legal. Now, he is saying "we'll see". For a guy who was so sure that they did nothing wrong, it makes you wonder why now he's not so sure.
Seems perfectly reasonable for a ball under 12.5psi to be unfumbleable. Or statistically different measuring a single game.
You obviously have ignored almost every player talking about the benefits of a football under 12.5 psi.
Assume just for a moment the possibility that Steve Grogan is my favorite player from when I was a kid. How much would I be laughing at this kind of post? If Lol
