No worries CBG. You aren't missing a lot. Weather Channel and CNN has dialed down totals a little bit. NYC is in the 12-18 range per Weather Channel. Looks like Connecticut and Massachustes is in 18-24 and 24+ range.
thanks Brooke and FJF no windows here isolated from the world half the guys on my job just went home due to the weather just don't want to get stuck and white knuckle it
Saw this on Twitter. Storm is picking up here in Brooklyn. Not too bad though. @reedtimmerTVN WOW! Latest forecast models showing over 4 FEET of snow over NYC area through Long Island now with #Blizzard of 2015
That is from the NAM model. Its mostly regarded as garbage in the meteorology community. It overdoes precip for 9 out of 10 storms.
the heaviest of the precip has moved NE a bit. It has a big change on areas west of NYC. Areas east should still see over 24" west could end up less than 14" if this keeps up. Could be a very sharp cutoff in snow totals as you go west.
Heres the thing Brook...the cutoff line..and you guys have seen it..is so close..its so close to 2 feet and 10 inches...that what if the numbers that are big move west? My point is that the bust line has always been west jersey..on south. Only Boston, Conn..are locks. Have to tell you...this is a nightmare setup to forecast. Will be on after 2pm with many updates. They are bringing numbers down because of several runs after days of heavy numbers..and Im telling you..thats playing with fire big time. People let their guard down....its stupid forecasting to go by a model run and say only 8 to 12. Likely? Maybe...but I need to see the radar go boom tonite and as soon as that happens? It will be easy to see who will bust..and who will overperform.
