Dude. Did you do your grocery shopping yet? Madison has gone crazy. Currently Shop Rite has 1 hour delay in checkout. Stop and Shop unreachable
We had a stock pile from costco. So I had fiancé put meats in fridge from freezer so if we lose power we won't have to worry about defrosting.
The Costco in Astoria had a traffic jam from every direction trying to get into the parking lot yesterday. I just parked in the street and walked in no problem, actually not that crazy once you got into the store. I expect them to get picked clean today though, forget about milk, batteries, salt & shovels
So I'm thinking big picture here, it's kind of incredible to think that this is the storm against which all future storms will be measured. It'll suck for awhile, but we'll get through it and will have been a part of history. Just trying to make some lemonade here....
Weather Channel and CNN has dialed down their total estimates for Morris County to 8-12 range. I gotta say I am disappointed. I wanted some more but it is what it is. NYC is sitting at 12-24 range per CNN, 12-18 per weather channel.
I'm already getting snow in Central NJ. Stopped and Shop Rite for milk, got inside .... and left right away. The lines even to the 8-or-less checkout had more than 20 people.
Seems like everything is changing East, NYC will probably get dialed way down too. We'll see if we even get a foot. Suffolk County and Rhode Island will probably get smacked the hardest
LOL Didn't. Didn't care enough. They all had this look "try to squeeze by me"... So my first thought was "didn't clean my 9 mm in a month, this seems like a good time". Interesting how associations work
I just dropped by my local A&P to get some ingredients for dinner tonite and it wasn't that bad, the worst thing was getting around the cars lined up to get gas. Must be a half hour wait. _
Hmm, I didn't even think about filling up. I just figure the car is going to to stay parked for a few days. This won't be like Sandy where the gas supply hubs have no electricity for days and roads are structurally damaged
Gas stations were busy here as well. But good thing is snow totals dialed down. 6-10 for Morris County at the moment. Not bad. All good
while y'all are getting blitzed in the northeast. It is wall to wall sunshine here in southeast Nebraska, going up to 65 today. That said, I am pretty jelly. I love snow and this winter has sucked balls out here snow wise and cold wise.
