philly big 5 rivalry is big in Philly btw a bunch of crappy college teams that no one cares about outside of Philly.
absolutely, it's been proven the Carolina men's basketball program didn't do anything wrong. it's not like they had a 'Nova phone card scandal or the cocaine scandal.
Then again, using YOUR standards - Kentucky/Florida 10 National Titles, 21 FInal Four appearances. Far superior to Duke/UNC
notice that little word "OR" in that sentence. I didn't say everyone loved St. Johns, SU AND GU. If you knew about the history of Carolina basketball you would understand the importance of NYC and the NYC area has on the success of the program. I am a Yankee fan too but Yanks-Sox is all hype, overblown by the media in 2 huge markets. I wasn't talking about the Lovitz part
why do you struggle w/ the basics? and if we include all time Carolina and duke have 10 Nat'l titles and 33 FF apps.
Again, by your standards, the Indiana/MSU rivalry is just as great - 10 National Titles and 16 Final Fours
I know you cannot be this stupid but I will play along. all time Carolina and duke have 10 titles and 33 FFs.
Because performance in the NCAA Tournament has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of a rivalry. If that were the case Florida/Florida State would mean NOTHING. UCLA/USC would mean NOTHING. Alabama/Auburn would mean NOTHING.
UF/FSU would mean nothing if they weren't both top programs of the last 25 years. Auburn/'Bama was always overrated but now both programs are top programs UCLA/USC does mean nothing.
one part of that sentence is not true... and it's not the parts about Dean Smith taking over and the continued recruiting of NY because those are facts
you do know I said last 35 years, right? and still Carolina and duke have 10 and 33. that is ONE reason why it is the best. Best teams, coaches, players, close proximity, bad blood, made CBB much more popular, always competing for ACC titles, FF and Nat'l titles, etc...
Really? The Geographical location means nothing? Good lord, this coming from a College Sports "Expert" This is th epoint of the argument that you just walk away because it is clear that the other person has mental issues.
