Heat...huge...really huge but the water table is big. Probably will not need that for awhile..very cold temps for several weeks after..this stuff will be around at least a month..not to mention the long range models...well...lol....lets leave that alone right now. Anytime at all JWWS...anytime at all bud.
I truly can not see anything happening at 8am in the state of Conn Tuesday morning JFM...I just cant see anything happening at all business wise bud.
and get ready for that rare occurance..thundersnow guys and girls. Lol...it will happen in many locations.
I got my Pizza, chicken wings, other "foods", Amazon Fire TV Stick, salt, shovel, and family all warmed up. I of course will be doing most of the shoveling but im honestly looking forward to a lot of snow. I need a good workout and a day off on Tuesday would be good.
not much JS.....2 to 4..maybe 5..not until around 8 to 10 pm do the big numbers start. GFS came in..less too...a general 12 to 18 for nnj/nyc. Not sure about that...and will not stay up for euro...still over 30 on north. We shall see!! See ya in the morning.
I still never know what to expect for the EHT area. We always seem to get lighter snow than the rest of the state.
thanks for updates, sent your warnings to a nephew living in ny in his first winter, whether he takes it seriously is another matter
Sounds like the clipper is moving faster than expected, which should cause the phasing to occur later and further east. I'm sure jay could explain this better than I can. If the EURO follows the last three models east, could be a foot at most for NYC. Or it could stick to its guns and stay west, and we'll all just have to wait and see what we end up with. It's amazing that in 2015 this technology can have such differing opinions less than 24 hours out.
yes Drew..in fact a solid 2 plus feet from NYC to Boston with NNJ around 20 to 28. Take into account snow ratios? Very cold temps? Those numbers are pretty safe for any east movement in the models.
Jay I hope you get some sleep,,keep em coming today and nice job last night with the updates ! As far as the local weather guys ,,,, This morning ch 2 says 12 to 24 for me,,,,,ch 7 says 24 plus for me ,,,they are all over the place,,,,,,be safe all no matter how you slice this it will be bad out there !
Some very light flurries in Bergen County. Must have just started, because nothing was happening about 15 minutes ago.
Basically you are looking at 18 to 26 for all until you get up to central Conn where numbers increase to 20 to 30. AND THATS IT GUYS. I dont care what model comes out and says this or that. Will npt be on till afternoon and I can promise you, nothing really will change. We roll with it.
